I am very confident he will never be a positive contributor at the QB position. It's not just freshman mistakes. He doesn't have the basic skills.

Well Briles recruited him out of high school, so he must have seen something.

A true DT QB was asked to sit in the pocket and sling the ball around tonight. They gave hubenak more carries.

Give me a competent play caller and then I'll judge Mond. So far his WRs are arse and his line got worked by an FCS school. I'm not saying he's Cam Newton but the kid is clearly talented. It was his second game and he's handicapped by everyone around him. No one looked good tonight. Not our future NFL players nor our true fish QB

Yes and no. One thing is certain, he has no business playing this year. Granted with the injury to starkel it was going to happen anyway, but wtf did coaches see in camp that let them think he could contribute this year. He should have been a redshirt.

This is all very true. I might take issue with him being "clearly talented," but he sure as hell wasnt getting help.

I refuse to blame true freshmen for anything. If your program is such that you are trotting out true freshmen, then you live with the consequences, but you don't blame them.

Agree 100%.

I'd add: f your program is such that you are trotting out true freshmen at year 6 at any position, you've fricked up, badly.

I wouldn't say that.

True Freshman at placekicker, running back, defensive back, defensive line, wide receiver, and linebacker can make a huge difference quickly if they're good enough.
