Or they could just stop the forced growth of the College Station campus and instead funnel kids to both Kingsville and Galveston making them 20k+ that way...

Amen to that. Some of the talent nowadays we are taking is really watering down our reputation.

TAMUCC/K is not the same as TAMUG. TAMUG is part of the main campus and has the same academic standards. TAMUCC/K? Well, let's just say they aren't equal to the flagship or Galveston.

From an administration standpoint it makes sense: one university with two locations. A long time ago, TAMUCC was a branch of Texas A&I. So they do have history together.

I spent some time a few years ago evaluating a grant at TAMUK.
