LSU fans suck sometimes

I just went to the Tiger Rant...don't know why I even bother. Our fans are the most whiney, negative bunch you ever met and we are in (I know most of y'all think were in) the Golden Era of LSU football.
I say all this basically to say that you have my permission to troll away (not that you need it). I'm done sticking up for my brethren. They have become quite the pathetic bunch...although I wish y'all would do it on tRant. You would probably have at least 50% backing from "LSU" fans when you bash the crap out us.
Dunno why I posted here...just so freaking frustrating.

Thank you for the post, but we get it. LSU fans are passionate about their programs and they take it all very seriously. I admire that.
It is much much better than Texas Tech where the obsession when they can't win is what batteries or cuss words they are going to throw at us. Or Texas where they bend over backwards to make it look like they really don't care.
I think more Aggies here like that, or at least we like to engage with it. Maybe the only "bad" part is that this same group of fans controls the moderation, so some Aggies are pissed when bad behaviour is rewarded and encouraged as long are its pro-LSU or anti-A&M. I have learned to just treat this place like a Soviet Block country government- corrupt, antagonistic, authoritarian but fun just for the ridiculous of it all.

My response to fans in a thread about how malzahn feels like we've had his number...of course all of the negative fans about how Les is the worst coach, we are awful, we won't win a SEC game this year...you know the drill...here was my response. I think I am going to stay away from td from here on out...

In the 90s, we were the equivilant to what Ms State has been before last season. We were a bad team that was happy with a seven win season. But we were a damn stong fan base.
Les's worst record while at LSU is 8-5. Just repeat that to yourself 8-5!!! he has more ten win seasons than any coach in LSU history, one of the highest all time winning percentages of any active coach and he's won a national title with us.
I don't see how anyone can go into a season expecting (hoping) for the worst just so you can come back here and say "Hey I was right! We suck." How can you enjoy football if so. Is that what life's meaning is to you?
I love college football. Alot. And every year I am going to think that we have a shot to get to the SEC title game. Because its more fun for me that way. I get let down when we lose, sure, but that doesn't take away how much I enjoy the game.
I'm not trying to tell you how to be a fan (although I know it sure sounds that way) and I'm sorry for directing it at you. But I just don't get why in the world it pays to be negative ever especially about entertainment. I just get tired of reading it here. Maybe I should just stop.
This is why I stick to tSEC rant most days. BC we are becoming such a negative, whiney fanbase. It really sucks seeing as how we are in the golden era of Tiger football.

I read other fans boards and while I know this is an LSU site, you just don't really see this stuff everywhere. Other teams seem to support their teams more and sure I can be negative after a bad game or if we do something questionable...but the season hasn't even started yet...WTF?!!!

TexAgs has its buffoons, for sure.
But as a group they don't get nearly as angry as do the Tiger fans.

A least LSU fans are complaining and talking football.
The TexAgs football board is nothing but an endless cycle of inside jokes and thread derailments into memes and inside jokes. There's no real "discussion", much less about football, just a bunch of sophomoric antics.

The debates on TD are the negatigers vs positigers, all football based. Big Texag debates are Dallas vs Houston, Bevel vs No Bevel, etc. Very little football debate. Most football stuff (especially in Premium) is a circle jerk.

I have good memories of the football board because that is where a lot of the fighting about realignment happened in 2010 and 2011. Plus I actually like some of the legendary threads: the mirror thread, the flying McGee, etc.

It was good during realignment, but had been a dork fest of inside jokes with no football discussion for about 5 years prior to that. You have to go back to 2002 or so and prior to find a board where people genuinely wanted to talk about the team, plays and schemes, coaches, the conference, recruiting, football-related rumors, roster, etc.

lol, I joined in 2003 so I guessed I missed the glory days.
Outside of realignment the only forum I have ever enjoyed on Texags was old rivalries before it was old rivalries.

BTW I don't care to read that long thread but why is there a thread about Sumlin hiring Chavis that is 25 pages long?

Just plain "Rivalries" was a great forum back in the era when Tech was enemy #1. Those were bad days for the program, but good times for talking trash on that board. The Houston baord also had a good sense of community and was hilarious back before the mods ruined it.

Today at Media Days Sumlin was aksed if A&M's inability to beat LSU had anything to do with why he hired Chavis away and he said something like "It's THE reason." I imagine there's some discussion of that going on.

Mostly because of some obsessed Tech posters who wouldn't quit. Some of my best photoshops were from those days. One time I shopped Sherm squat-thrusting a drum of radioactive whale sperm and somehow that was completely on topic for the forum that day.
