So many fingers of this story coming out of Austin that they just cannot be contained right now. Like trying to herd about 30 cats.

The ONLY way this stuff dies down is with a win or two and it needs to be pretty soon. The complaints and the negative stories are really taking on a life of their own now.

To make things even worse... there is a large portion of the fan base that were/are 100% convinced Strong was/is the wrong guy for the job. These folks are elevating anything remotely negative into mini firestorms.

If OU manages to blow texass out by 25+ it is going to be a crazy week in Austin. Been pretty quiet on the recruiting front but a couple of texass decommits pretty soon and they will be jumping off buildings.

Quite the drama playing out.

I have to get three years from Charlie in Austin.

Then I hope they go out and hire another defensive guy in an offensive league.

I get my news on this issue from Old Rivalries. They're a well-balanced group of intellects over there.

In 5 seasons, Texas has had - 2 head coaches, 2 athletic directors, 6 offensive coordinators, and 4 defensive coordinators.

And 5 core values.

Makes me wonder how long "IDGAS got Malik" is gonna last

Yes actually.

Heard (not Charlie) decided to step up and fix the problem:

Apparently they will have a 6th Core Value: "Delete your Twitters.”

that's actually a good one. if i were a coach i wouldn't let a single kid have a twitter account.

that probably has something to do with the fact that i don't know how to use twitter, but still.

On the 6th day of tire fire the Longhorns gave to me:

Six offensive coordinators
FIVE CORE VALUES
Four defensive coordinators
Three AD's (counting the interim)
Two head coaches

And a castrated bovine mascot!

Our boards are semi melting over being 5-0 with NFL talent all over the place. Could you imagine what we'd do if Chavis said

That won't fly in today's world of recruiting. Most recruits talk to their coaches via twitter, so expecting them to delete it once they get to campus while the coaches continue to have one would only cause a bigger rift (oh god I hope Charlie bans twitter )

The most Charlie can do is make sure the staff is doing their halftime adjustments like they should be instead of just letting players sit around with their phones. Just the thought of coaches not noticing a starting player on his phone at halftime should piss off ANY longhorn fan, especially in a blowout loss.

Added a few...

There's no way that's real. Not believing it unless I see video evidence. There's just no way.

Well he is right you know.

This is getting so bad I am pretty much pulling for them to beat OU because it looks like the Eagles suck.

Assuming they lose to OU and KState (very likely IMO) I would love to see them reel off four in a row vs ISU KU WVU and Tech before their dick stomping by Baylor to go 5-7. Winning four of their last five they could sell hope (and an extension???)

Best case scenario is they implode, fire Charlie and then make a terrible hire

Sure but the worst case is they implode, fire Charlie and then make a splash hire.

I am pretty conservative by nature so I will stick with the safe bet for them sucking, which is Charlie gets a year three.
