I'm thinking of buying a kayak. Are there any good places near BCS that would be a good place to put in?

I'm looking for places to do some fishing as well as just spending some time on the water.

unless you're in College Station, Colorado I'd say there ain't gonna be no kayaking in a field.

Best TX Kayaking, Canoeing, & Tubing

Bad list. Doesn't contain the shortest navigable river in Texas (which has some pretty damn good tubing if we could just get some water in the aquifer).
