He was unique and charismatic. Same reasons Obama won over putrid GOP candidates.

He also faced the worst Dem candidate in history. While he was arguably more objectionable than even she was, he was actually a good campaigner. She was abominable in strategy and execution. For an example, check out what unfolded in Michigan, where Trump won despite garnering fewer votes there than Bush did in 2004:

Everybody could see Hillary Clinton was cooked in Iowa. So when, a week-and-a-half out, the Service Employees International Union started hearing anxiety out of Michigan, union officials decided to reroute their volunteers, giving a desperate team on the ground around Detroit some hope.

They started prepping meals and organizing hotel rooms. SEIU — which had wanted to go to Michigan from the beginning, but been ordered not to — dialed Clinton’s top campaign aides to tell them about the new plan. According to several people familiar with the call, Brooklyn was furious.

Turn that bus around, the Clinton team ordered SEIU. Those volunteers needed to stay in Iowa to fool Donald Trump into competing there, not drive to Michigan, where the Democrat’s models projected a 5-point win through the morning of Election Day.

Michigan organizers were shocked. It was the latest case of Brooklyn ignoring on-the-ground intel and pleas for help in a race that they felt slipping away at the end.

I don't have a lot of faith in Trump, but at this point I'll adopt a wait-and-see posture. So far, there is cause for optimism (his picks have largely been really good) and concern (worried about Tillerson, and the cavalier public attitude towards daily intel briefings is a red flag).

There are about 5 Ags on tArk whom I've never met and don't know shite about other than their handle and posts I would literally feel better about than Rick Perry at this job.

Also, Tillerson is a t-sip (class of 1975) so there's that as well.

Politicians suck!

Let's elect a reality TV star who inherited his fortune and is involved in shady business dealings!

Not all of them, Adams and Franklin did not own slaves and were quite vocal in their opposition to slavery.

If our God Emperor, Donald J. Trump, exalted be His name, has chosen Perry for this job, then it is not our decision to second guess. Trust that TRUMP, in his prescience, has made the right decision for His People, for he IS the Kwisatz Haderach.

I know you're joking, but this isn't funny. There is already enough to compare Trump to Hitler. We don't need more.

The Hitler/Trump comparisons are ludicrous hysterics.

But I agree that the fanboi worship of him by some is nauseating. Hopefully it's just an act to get under the skin of those not on the Trump Train

You can't be serious! You trolling, right?

People compared Mug Ears to Hitler all the time and you had no issues with it...

>

But now someone jokes about Trump being Hitler and you get all sensitive Nancy over it? Grow a pair! Trump doesn't need your help defending his e-honor. This is the presidency of the United States, not student council! People who are elected into office need to be scrutinized for every action they take, Democrat or Republican. Keep them honest and don't let off. Getting made fun of comes with the job.

Dude you clearly missed everything I said. Idc if people compare him to Hitler. I'm not defending him. I don't even like him

I totally agree with you actually. People should be scrutinized if they are in office. I think those who are calling him god emperor need to cut that shite out.

The only joke here is you for being left off of the Train.

Hitler comparisons are silly. They're both emperors and fantastic orators but that's where the similarities end.

Hitler had a deep-seeded desire to burn the world down and take himself with it. When he shot himself in his bunker beneath the ruins of Berlin he got what he'd always really wanted. He self-sabotaged. See: Stalingrad.

TRUMP, on the other hand, has a will for excellence, not self-immolation. He will not make the same mistakes as Hitler. TRUMP will conquer the planet, his scientists will find the science to make him effectively immortal, and his empire will seed the universe with human habitation.
