That's not a full report. I'm sure I'll sound like a jock-sniffer here, but we really do rush to judgment like John Wayne whenever women are involved. If he was accused of robbing a store or something, most people would want to wait for evidence or more facts to come out.

I have a really hard time believing that's the actual narrative from the police report. The public isn't entitled to the narrative under the open records act until the case is resolved.

Domestic violence is a huge problem in sports. We hear about less than half of them, and I'm sure of that.

It sucks that we can't give the guy the benefit of the doubt or say that he made a mistake once in a heated situation and give him a mulligan, but given the current environment in college football, we have to protect the best interest of the program, which means, sadly, we have to swing the ax early and often on this kind of thing so as to give no appearance that we are giving quarter to miscreants. Everyone saw what happened to Baylor.
