I had some down time yesterday and was watching Arky highlights, specifically focusing on the OL, and it is SHOCKING how much better they are than last year. Outside of Prater, who is getting a little better, we whipped them the entire second half. Erik McCoy is already a legitimately dominant run blocker, I've never seen a center so consistently fire off so quickly after the snap.

If anyone attempts to hire Turner away I wouldn't hesitate to make him the highest paid position coach in America, he's that important.

Prater dominated as well on a couple of the long runs. We absolutely dominated run blocking wise in this game. I can't help but think they will only get better as the year goes on too as they mesh and get more experience together

Early returns have been great. Line has held up well against stout DLs from UCLA and Auburn.

Tennessee will be another big challenge.

Mike Sherman's cousin!

And yes, the man is the Kwisatz Haderach of offensive line coaches.

He did this on ONE offseason.

All of his un-PC past transgressions should be totally forgiven. It is called offensive line for a reason.

Also Jim Turner can hold all the sexist seminars he wants if our OL plays like it did Saturday

I honestly think we have the best assistant coaching staff in the conference, based largely on Turner and Chavis.

Ok, serious question, you'll put your nose directly in the anus of an assistant coach but call the man who hired him incompetent?

Jim Turner was a renowned OL coach long before Sumlin hired him. If you want to give credit to Sumlin for knowing what everyone else also knows I won't argue with that.

I mean, did he bring him to aggieland or didn't he?

I'm not a Sumlin supporter, but I mean shite you're unwilling to give credit for the things we do right or if you do it's because of our assistants and not the man in charge.

Well we could have fired him last year but we didn't so here we are. I work with the cards I'm dealt not cry like a bitch and pray for different cards.

I hear you. Specifically I'm not sure he's the level of recruiter we need at that position. Same for McKinney. But every staff has some weaker spots.

I should also throw Jeff Banks in the mix w/ Turner and Chavis. Special teams have been spectacular after being an achilles heel for so long. And he's made recruiting inroads out west.

Moorehead does nothing for me. He is the weakest link. We should try to get David Beaty back after Kansas fires him.
