it's obvious to most Aggies that this is mainly Kylers fault

Why are 1% still acting like Sumlin did wrong?

Yes hindsight is 20/20 but in the end it was about Kylers immaturity and personal issues.

Have you not seen the tweets from the team? Kyler was entitled and he was the problem, his being here fricked up Allen and it is good for the team that he is gone.

Because if Kyler was really a lost cause Sumlin should have done more to keep Allen.

I don't think Sumlin understood how immaturely Kyler would behave at the time

Like I said hindsight is 20/20

But this is where it makes the most obvious sense to understand that Kyler is at fault.

What reasonable kid that is secure in the starting position walks?

Maybe, but he wasn't fair to Kyle all year.

Personally I don't think Kyle was the answer, but you asked and that is why people are pissed.

Sumlin is the HC.

College kids tend to be immature and have a myriad of personal issues.

Schools pay DivI coaches handsomely to navigate these problems and achieve results.

Some coaches find a way to harness the whims of capricious youngsters in such a way that it doesn't harm the team or the program.

Others mismanage the emotions and immaturity of their charges, and the entire program pays the price.

When the latter happens, the HC is always responsible.

Signed,

A staunch Sumlin supporter until TransferGate2015

HE KNEW! Everyone knew! If Sumlin didn't catch it the week before NSD, then he is dumber than he looks,

Yeah, claiming ignorance after the recruiting BS is, well, ignorant

Sumlin made promises to get Murray here he had no intention of keeping.

Murray is a spoiled bitch, but Sumlin mismanaged the frick out of this.

And to answer your question, a lot of Aggies are siding 100% with Sumlin because we as a group are denialist and loyal to a fault. As long as he is our coach, many just can't turn on him.

This is false or wild unsupported speculation

Can't disagree with any of the rest though Roger

I'm not a huge Sumlin fan, BUT the Murray's put him in a terrible position last recruiting season. If he had lost Kyler to Texas he would have been crucified by us, not to mention we would have lost Daylan Mack and who knows who else.

I for one am glad to trade Kyler transferring to keep Mack in Maroon.

I'm also hearing all kinds of horror stories about Kevin Murray and his meddling within the program. If even a portion of its true, then this cancer ad to be removed.

Could Kevin have handled it better this season - I think so, but I'm not in on meetings, practice, etc.

And what proof do you have that Kyler is just completely immature, to the point that all blame falls on his shoulders?

Can we excommunicate Kevin Murray and remove him from the alumni database?

No worries, Sumlin will either win big or get fired this year or next and the story will come out.

I prefer the former, but I'd be 2009 Tech game shocked if it happens

Goodbye and good riddence Kyler!

I hope the door hits you square on the behind on the way out.

Good luck and many blessings to Kyle Allen though.

This is the bottom line and I am sure he is glad to not have the Kyler drama this year to worry about

I have no idea how much, if any, he is at fault here. Liucci this morning implied that Kevin was all about talking Kyler into staying. Yes he's an arrogant standoffish a-hole, but that doesn't mean this is his fault. Having said that and having started drinking, I'm thinking this is all karma biting us in the arse after A&M mostly escaped sanctions during the Kevin Murray years.

Ok one of the cancers is gone, now let's get rid of the other. If Spav isn't run off then we lost Kyle Allen for nothing. Sumlin could've fixed that by just admitting he was hurt and the staff mishandled it.
