Texas A&M names Trevor Knight starting quarterback for UCLA game

I dunno what the rush is. I guess KDS is very sensitive about avoiding a debacle similar to last year.

I think it's important for future QBs as well to know that every fall won't have drama and let's face it, that's what we were doing.

I'm thankful we've got a starter and 2 solid back ups

Good luck to Knight, I can't wait to see if the A&M first year QB boom (a lot of our starters do great their first game or even year) can overcome the senior QB curse.

If the OL looks better he will look like the best QB we have had in a long time.

Turns out Sumlin is capable of learning after all.

It was obvious to anyone watching the Spring game who our starter would be.

It wasn't a debacle. Kyle Allen wasn't good enough to win the job outright.

U probably missed my early posts. I sat down with some Elite 11 coaches this Winter and they said that Kyle Allen really struggled with decision making and hitting "Windows" (whatever that is...). They all said that Mazzone was amazing and Trevor would be the starter and an upgrade.

They also said that Nick Starkle was better than Kyle Allen at this stage. They also spoke really highly of Aaron Moorehead, but I believe at least one was a former VT QB.

If he had trouble hitting windows, that would explain all of the pick 6's.

We need to stop with this nonsense, it serves no purpose to try and convince people of this anymore.

Allen wasnt named the starter earlier last year because Sumlin had promised Murray and his dad a chance to win the starting job as a freshman. Not one single person on our staff believed Kyler was going to beat out Allen and Allen was OBVIOUSLY the better QB. Sumlin had an "open competition" in Fall camp to appease the Murray's, but it was as big a farce as his "open competition" later in the year to slip Murray in when Allen was hurt without admitting Allen was hurt and he had fricked up.

Sumlin tried to play a stupid game with college kids and got fricked. Glad he learned his lesson.

Sumlin did an excellent job of keeping Kyle Allen on campus until Kyler and Jake arrived. After Kyle Allen lost the job to Kenny Hill, he planned on transferring to OU to play with his buddy (Mark Andrews).

Regardless of how much you hate Sumlin, the proof is staring us in the face. Bob Stoops also chose Kyler Murray over Kyle Allen. Kyle Allen is now even more bitter and he has been bashing A&M at every opportunity. The idiot is trying to act as if Houston was his "top choice"

Kyle Allen provides Twitter hint to where he'll transfer...OU

How does he bash A&M at every opportunity? He still hangs out with our players and supports them via Twitter. Where are you hearing that from
