It was weird to see how important this game was for LSU.

Les Miles was carried out on the shoulder of players like he won the Super Bowl. Miles said Joe Alleva didn't tell him he would keep his job until they beat us. Without this game, Miles is fired and LSU is going in a different direction. Whatever LSU status quo is, we kept it in motion. Bama, Ole Miss, and Arky fans owe us some gratitude. We are their Super Bowl. Since we joined the SEC, we are LSU's greatest accomplishment.

If you believe that you probably believed the sips when they said we weren't their rival. There is no greater threat to LSU than a successful A&M. A winning A&M program can poach Louisiana and shut them out of Texas just was we did in the '90s. They can't keep up resource wise unless they are winning.

The average Rant LSU fan doesn't even accept this reality but I guarantee you the folks who have been around for a while do understand it.

There really isn't anything correct in this statement. The decision was made before the game was over when the coach we thought we had declared he was not interested. We were not interested in starting a coaching search from scratch and end up with a charlie strong or a will muschamp type of coach. While I was one that was ok with seeing Miles let go I wanted to make sure they had a plan in place. This had nothing to do with beating atm. The we are their super bowl comment is laughable. LSU views aTm as a quality opponent who we happen to match up well with right now. But they are way down the list of games of importance behind Bama, Auburn, Florida and possibly even Ar-Kansas right now. I see there has been significant improvement on the Defensive side of aTm. Now if you get a competent OC you will be a legit threat in the west.

Dude think about that statement. It's not really ammo at all. Very submissive.

It proves LSU cares about the game.

It's a game against an SEC West opponent. I damn well hope LSU cares about it.

Are we suppose to not care whether we win or lose? Doesn't make sense.

You...really....seem to be overthinking this.

It was about Miles keeping his job and his players supporting him.

And it was hilarious when they thought they had Jimbo in the bag and Jimbo publicly said no thanks.

Hey y'all, always appreciate the access here....have 2 Ags as siblings and it is certainly my favorite game on the schedule. It certainly has potential to be one of the greatest rivalries in CFB.

That being said, the OP is ludicrous. Les Miles was getting a send off by his players in what they thought was the AD,boosters and admins treating him like shite for a week. The carry off had nothing to do with it being the A&M game.

and really if the A&M game was truly LSU's Super Bowl...then why would his job be in jeopardy? He hasn't lost to the Ags since 2004.

Anyway, Ags, I wish you a one loss season every year and hope the whatever Sumlin needs to do to right the ship happens.
