Sumlin mentioned him the other day in a positive light but in the actions speak louder than words department, we've been running a lot more 3 WR sets with either 2 backs or an H-back. The position not on the field when we do that is H

Yall benefit in recruiting these kids who are further west

kid wasn't even on LSU's radar, iirc. He should have been. #4 WR in the state.

Yes, he's pretty physical. Here's a VIDEO from a drill in the Spring.

He's in a couple reps (#3) starting around the 1:15 mark.

I concur. Should be a game-long chess match

We will have to see though, we all loved RSJ and he hasn't panned out

465 yards and 4TDs isn't bad at all for a redshirt fish who missed the entire first season due to a knee injury that required surgery. Sure people complained that he was afraid of contact, but again, he was coming off of a major injury. Anybody with a brain is going to be gun-shy after that.

I'm far more worried about RSJ injuring himself again than I'm worried about his ability or willingness to work hard and produce.

Yet he isn't dead, either. If he picks it up then we'll have-- hands down-- the finest receiving corps in the nation. And perhaps ever.

Kirk's HS film is some of the most impressive I've ever seen from a skill position player. He looks a lot like Reggie Bush.

He has a talent for running with the ball. He might even be a good kick and punt returner for us.

But does he have good hands and run a good pass route? Staff must think so since he seems to show up with the 1s alot, and we have a good receiving corps.

We'll see. I hope so. I don't know what kind of competition he was up against in high school in AZ. He makes those other AZ boys look slow as molasses. But it will be more of a fair fight in two weeks.
