My friend in the AD says its a done deal, Chavis will be announced by the end of the week. He insisted that he be allowed to coach in LSU's bowl game before it was made public.
Based on the info posted today on 247 and Texags, I believe him 100%. All signs point towards Chief.

we are back in Houston. We watched a good portion of the game on our phones so we felt like we didn't miss too much.

In my heart of hearts I thought this was a pipe dream at best. I couldn't even begin to troll LSU on it. If this happens, it will be the second Christmas in less than a week.

No idea whether it will happen or not, but with the amount of LSU denial about the possibility, the melt would be historic

I'm not even trolling right now, just relaying what is ging around A&M circles right now and they are FREAKING OUT on the coaching changes board. Literally lashing out and incapable of believing anyone would ever consider such a move.
They believe that because LSU assistants just signed non-binding deals that the rumors are BS, an argument that shouldnt even need to be addressed because of its absurdity.
