Honestly, I think we beat Arkansas handily

I expect us to revert to our UCLA game plan and hit them with a ton power, dive and counter runs out of 12 and 21 personnel. TCU ran it very effectively against them and they have an undersized front 7 similar to UCLA. Their linebackers also tend to overpursue aggressively and get burned by the counter regularly.

On the other side of the ball, their OL is actually worse than ours. In fact only 1 OL on team has graded out higher than 40 on PFF in their first two games. That's "worst OL in the nation" level bad. I expect to stuff their run similar to the way we did against UCLA.

The reason we lost to UCLA is because it's essentially impossible to successfully run zone in college against a spread with an NFL QB (he'll pick you apart) and Rosen figured out we couldn't man up when they went to 10 or 00 personnel and ran vertical/cross route combos. Arkansas can't exploit that because their receivers suck and Austin Allen isn't Josh Rosen or close to it.

In short, we aren't very good but Arkansas is demonstrably worse. Their game plan plays to our strengths. They are essentially UCLA with an inferior QB and fewer spread tendencies.

Well yes, we lost because Sumlin gave them enough time to come back.

If we're talking pure Xs and Os though, it was over for our defense the first time UCLA ran a drag out of 10 and realized our defense can't execute man defense when you spread us out.

The point is UCLA still had to seize the opportunity we gave them and Arkansas isn't capable of that.

Yeah, I think we'll win, too. If there's a way we can win handily and Sumlin still look bad, I'm rooting for that, but I think we'll win going away regardless. Just a weird time for both programs.

I think you are underestimating how bad we are.

On the bright side, that cheap-shot-arse legwhipper Dan Skipper is gone. So here's a hearty hallelujah that his no-talent bitch-self won't be able to injure another one of our players this year. That cheating fricking clown is to me the perfect embodiment of Bert and Arkansas football - a huge skilless hack with zero class or intelligence hellbent on being as crass and low-down mean as possible.

Our defense was actually pretty decent against TCU up until they where worn completely out by our offenses inability to get a first down. Enough 3 and outs and any defense will break.

Our offense is dog shite and we lost probably our best CB for the season in our opener so we are starting a fr in his place.

As for X's and O's the only gameplan fatty knows is the quickest route to the nearest fast food place.

Our coach is a drunk who doesn't understand how math works.

Wanna trade?

I still think we get blown out if hubenak is hurt and mond is required to play full game. Our OLine was getting worked by Nichols and ull in spots. I just think our offense will be unable to move the ball with mond passing and pig loading up on the run. I see a lot of 3-n-outs with the defense getting worn down.

I also still think we loose with hubenak too, just by not as much.

I'll never trust Sumlin after thinking the same on the below games:

2013 Auburn
2014 Mizzou
2015 Auburn/LSU/Ole Miss
2016 Ole Miss/MSU

Lots of things in spurts lol. We're bad, and not where we should be and Sumlin needs to be gone but idk if Arkansas is going to be the team to do it.

Just saying I think it will be close a game and feels like one that could either way, similar to the games in 2014 and 15

I actually liked how we looked in the second half last week. First half it had indications of a team that just didn't care at all. Second half was a different team. Encouraging.

Just hard to believe Arkansas is that bad. Going with a close one myself. Think the Ags pull it out.

Welp, I was wrong. Nothing new there.

I thought we'd get blown out for sure and mond wouldn't be able to move the ball. However it looks like something has clicked for him since the second half of ULL and into this game. He's still not great, but made some solid throws, looks competent and appears to be progressing...which is all you can ask from a true freshman.

I now think we beat SC next weekend, originally had sumlin getting fired after back2back loses against Pig & SC. Still don't see us winning more than 7 games at most, we are still bad, but it looks like a lot of the sec is too.

Sumlin still fired though.

We'd have to go 9-3 at least to save his job, who would require us beating two of MSU, BAMA, LSU and Florida.

At this point we look like crap but so many others do too. Is it crazy that we beat LSU or Florida this year? I know their road games but damn they have laid a few eggs.
