I know that all teams hate on each other a good bit, but I am unsure where the hatred for LSU comes from for the Aggies. Most of the Ags I've met IRL are really cool people and reserve their animosity for that other Texas school. IS the hate on the rant:

A. People are still pissed about us canceling the series back in the 90s when we sucked?

B. LSU fans on tRant are just so easy to troll

C. Ags are angry that LSU is the only SEC west team they have yet to defeat since joining the SEC.

D. It's more of a rivalry developing thing than actual hatred.

E. LSU started it

F. IDGAF about LSU any more than any other school

G. LSU fans are a-holes

I have zero actual hatred for LSU. In fact most of the LSU people I know are great. This is a message board and not meant to be taken seriously, and there are simply more of you who post on there than any other fanbase so it's easiest to get a reaction. That's my reason

Zero hate, LSU fans start way more threads about A&M and flame out on us that the other way around

I kind of figured it was B for most. I think LSU finally has a chance to have a real rival...meaning one that is a game of the utmost importance no matter the significance of the game in standings and will be consistently more important than other sec games even when each of our programs go through down swings...like alabama-tennessee, auburn-georgia type games.

We really go on rotating rivalries dependent upon situation. I could see LSU-A&M becoming a traditional rivalry which is the only thing LSU is really lacking. I guess Ole Miss could be one, but who likes having to admit your rival has never won anything of importance since before most fans were born?

EDIT: Not meant to be an insult to A&M about winning anything of importance...I think A&M will win the SEC in the next 5 years at least once...something I don't think I will ever say for Ole Miss

I don't hate LSU, but damn y'all got a lot of fans who don't think y'all started playing football until the 2000's. Until A&M joined the SEC LSU was my second favorite shool for sports.

The trolling happens because it's just so easy and y'all have a group of hook biters that follow the same MO of moving goalposts and always returning to the same old tired lines

Correct. We are also in need of a rivalry game now, and to be honest I respect your program and it's accomplishments far more than texas'. Therefore it is my duty to say frick LSU© (yes that's a copyright, it was filed before that fraud Soze got his trademark).

Probably a combination of B, D, and F more than anything.

I'll even throw in another letter:

H.) The fanbases are so similar in temperament that the familiarity breeds contempt.

I swear, in going back and forth between TexAgs and TigerDroppings, the ways both fanbases conduct themselves online and the things that'll set us off are uncannily similar

Truth be told, I'm excited for tGulfWar rivalry to continue to develop. I think it's only natural, and, in A&M's case, gives us a more current object of hatred than t.u. or any of the old big12 foes. Personally, I like hobnobbing w/ lsufan irl. Had a great time at the Cotton Bowl a few years back and always got along irl, which is much more than I can say for certain big12 schools when I was a student Don't really care about LSU substantially more than any other SEC West school, but that'll probably change over the next few decades if/when TAMU makes the rivalry competitive.

To me, it's a fabricated "rivalry". We're just trying hard(and faking a little) to hate LSU so it can become a real one.

We just don't have a good score to brand that stupid tiger with yet.

I'm young(29) and even I can tell you it's not fabricated. At least not among the older generations. I remember going to those games in the early 90s. There was some really strong dislike between the two fan bases before we stopped playing and I think it has been passed along to this generation to some extent.

No real hate from me for LSU. Looking forward to the rivalry heating back up. From what I hear back in the 80's-90's it was a strong rivalry and one that was looked forward to all off-season since it opened many seasons. Give it some time and I think we will see a good one grow out of it agian

This.

Fabricated would be anything with the SEC East teams or the MS/AL schools, IMO.

When it comes to Arky and LSU, there's real history and hate there. It's just been dormant the past few decades.

I'm 25 and have no hate towards LSU whatsoever, but it's really funny to get them butt-rustled over Chavis. Holy shite they're so mad.

Went to some of those games back in the day and for the most part it was a good experience but we did have a few incidents in BR where we had to check some idiots but hey that can happen anywhere, I'm looking forward to renewing the rivalry

Back in the day, games with LSU fans were ... heated.
Compared to other teams, LSU fans always had a little more liquid courage in their bloodstream..
The result was some unsavory behavior by a few, which led to blanket sentiment of all.

I don't hate LSU at all.
The A&M ire shown by many Tigers on tSECr has been odd.

that some won't forgive. My FIL hates LSU even more than Texas. Much more. And it's because of drunken antics, some by the elderly.

I personally like LSU a lot and I have said it a few times on here. They are the OU to our Texas, and our mutual success will snuff out the rest of the state like a cigarette butt. Null sum game.
