Let's pay the buyout and hire Petrino. I don't think anyone is quite as "proven" as he is in the literal sense of the word.

Bobby Petrino never beat Bama.

We need real candidates who can instill toughness. Coaches with big boy conference experience and know what it takes to win big games.

Not the Tom Herman types that do the opposite....

Why would Richt leave his alma mater? Not to mention the guy was never a job hopper in the first place.

I doubt he would. Just more or less agreeing that he's a good coach, and we'd be well served by having one of those.

Watching the USF-Illinois game makes me wonder how much of an impact the meddling from Texas boosters had on Charlie's failures at Texas. His USF squad is night and day different from his Texas squad. That QB actually remind sme a lot of Swoopes. Terrible arm, but the dude can move.

Should've never fired Sherman. Was pumped up watching him introduce Von tonight.

But then again, I did work for the regime.

To be fair, Illinois is pretty terrible.

Does Jim Turner know what he's looking at without Mike Sherman telling him? I know he can motivate and coach guys up through repetition, but does he honestly have the eye for talent and how to position our guys for success?

Thoughts on Brohm at Purdue? Almost beat Louisville week 1 and just stomped a hole in Mizzou 28-3

I was talking about him a week or two ago. He's in the tier of coaches to contact after we strike out going after big names

I agree. If Purdue wins 8 games this year that would be pretty impressive

Mr. Chad Morris has his squad of intercollegiate athletes within one score of the boys from Texas Christian late in the 3rd quarter of play

Ok I stand corrected. Well played. I still think he underperformed given all the talent he had.

Not really. Sherman was the talent evaluator
