Just read that it is for basketball, not football.

Well... at least they'll start playing again in 2017, so this is probably an improvement over '16's Prairie View A&M and New Mexico State.

Texas State will visit Kyle Field in College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies on Aug. 31, 2019. According to a copy of the contract, Texas State will receive a guarantee of $1.3 million.
In two previous meetings, Texas State is 0-2 against Texas A&M. The two schools first met in 1919 in College Station where the Aggies won 28-0. Then in 2005 in College Station, Texas A&M won 44-31.

Crazy how much you have to pay these crappy teams to play.

There's a reason they keep signing up to get their heads bashed in. They don't play the patsy for free

Well Arky is renovating their stadium, hopefully they will want out too

I bet not, recruiting Texas is pretty much the only way for their program to break through the talent glass ceiling they currently have.

In OS' defense, he DID say, "hopefully."

TMC - have you heard anything about the JerryWorld contract being shortened / amended
not sure I saw this before but I've heard nothing of it. It's pretty important to Arky because they like playing in Texas every year. I think it's something we're just going to have to deal with

Interesting... I wonder if that date for Fresno is wrong, or if they are working out with Arkansas & Jerry on how to reschedule 2020...

asked around on this and nobody seems to know.
It's a good observation. My best guess is we moved the Jerryworld game to another week that year but no idea as to why

Texas A&M will host Northwestern State at Kyle Field in College Station on Sept. 1, 2018. The Demons will receive a $515,000 guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained by FBSchedules.com via a public records request to Texas A&M.
The 2018 meeting will be the first ever between Texas A&M and Northwestern State on the gridiron.
The Aggies will host the Lamar Cardinals at Kyle Field on Sept. 14, 2019. Lamar will receive a guarantee of $500,000, according to a copy of the contract obtained by FBSchedules.com.
In their first and only meeting back in 2014, Texas A&M defeated Lamar 73-3.
The addition of games against Northwestern State and Lamar tentatively completes Texas A&M’s non-conference schedule through the 2020 season.

no shite. Supposed to start at like 8pm but the 3rd quarter started at like midnight. frick that game.
Btw, interesting thing to add to KSCC's observation, our first OOC game in 2020 is on 9/12. The first weekend that year is 9/5. So it seems we will open with a conference game. Maybe that's Arkansas?
Normally that's the Cowboy Classic kickoff game weekend but dunno
