That is perplexing to me as the handful of games I saw him coach for the sips he looked totally inept. Terrible schemes, messing up the coin toss so they kicked off both halves, just bad plays all around. Maybe he does have a good program that works over time as he gets the guys he wants and they buy in, but he is notcutout for a big time football school HC. Not to mention the dude could string three coherent words together in a press conference, he always talked so fast under his breath and stuttered even more after they lost games.

Can't think of many things that would give me more joy than watching a coach the horns fired for ineptitude lead us to a NC immediately after, but I really just don't think he will ever succeed at a big school.

Billy could speak English.
But yeah, they both do better at lesser (in terms of stature in the sport, not enrollment) schools with a chip on their shoulders and both drowned at blue chip places where the job is half PR and half babysitting entitled brat athletes.

I do find it funny that Strong is coaching a highly ranked football team and sip lost to maryland.
