Team has bounced back with a vengeance after each loss.

No doubt. Lost the first game of a Regional, Super, or in the CWS and suddenly you're on the chopping block.

For example.

the 2000 Gamecock baseball team was 55-8 (25-5) going into the Supers.

In contrast our 2010 title team, while having a good record (21-9 in conference play) had to actually travel for the Supers.

Apples and oranges here but our softball team was 63-2 (25-1) going into the 1997 WCWS. Lost our 2 games there and were eliminated.

Don't get me wrong. The Aggies should be excited about this year and at this rate they're more than a lock for a top 8 seed which is huge in getting to Omaha. But I've seen some mighty teams crumble.

I agree and I'm having a lot of fun watching this team. Playoffs are a crap shoot, so I'm lovin' it as long as it lasts.

That said, stop trying to jinx us .

The offense is certainly there, but I don't think we have the pitching.

I agree. We had 3 guys that were Friday quality guys. Now we have 1. We'll be at a disadvantage vs any team with a legit 1-2 punch. Kent is your standard Sunday type. Nothing wrong with that. Even good teams rarely have studs on Sunday, but that could have been us. Our pen is every bit good enough. I worry we might rely on them too much down the stretch.

Still, I am riding high and enjoying what we have going now. It'll all play out.

Exactly!

It's a long season and a lot can happen.

Do we have any hope of getting one of them back before the seasons over?

Minter is done. Tommy John puts for out for a year, easily.

Outside shot. Stub is throwing this week. He could be back as early as the SEC tourney. He could be the boost that puts us over the edge.

lotta speculation that rushing back from knee issues last year before he was ready caused Derek Holland to alter mechanics slightly which led to tis shoulder strain. IMO it's not worth it for Stub though selfishly I hope he comes back like a boss
