If you haven't already, get a good gas-mileage car. I rocked and rocked and rocked after midnight before saying "screw it" and going for a 100-mile drive. Worked, every time. Not so much for my own sleep, but at least the cute little shite finally conked out.

Congrats! They are such a blessing. We had our 2nd 4 months ago and it's been great except when my wife slips an Arky onesie on him when I'm not there.
