Good grief guys! It's fall. Enough with the high 80s.
It really doesn't matter to my team as they are used to hot weather, however this old lady needs cool weather!

Looks like mid 80s game time from what I can find googling College Station weather.

BTW, stoked for the trip. My team may get more than it can handle, but I am looking forward to the tradition. You guys have given me some really good advice on the area and it is much appreciated.

See you in College Station Thursday night!

Dang, I thought a front was coming through today. I'll look at the weather thread on TA, it's ridiculously detailed. Glad you'll be able to make it down, hopefully it will be a great game!

It was literally 98 in Austin yesterday (may have been even hotter) with an index of 101 on OCTOBER frickING 12TH. there are a lot of things I like about Texas, the weather isn't one of those things.

It should be beautiful but sunny.

Get a light broad brimmed hat at Academy before the game. Then get a 12th man towel during pregame outside of stadium. Then throughout the game wet the towel, fold it up and place on head under hat.

Instant AC for your head.

In Texas we have four seasons: early summer, summer, late summer, and two weeks of winter scattered over two months.

The front is blowing thru now, Wind changed direction and is out of the NW and it's cooled down maybe 5 degrees since lunch. It's a balmy 89f right now, what more could you ask for?

I spent the first 25 years of my life in central Texas. Once my career let me leave, I left, with climate being the #1 reason. 98 in October is horse shite. I'll take 45 and drizzling in Portland for 6 months out of the year every day of my life over that.

It's not that cold in San Mexico, but it was pretty damn cold the winter before last. Had to wear about 4 layers of clothes just to smoke a cigarette.

Y'all can all pretend to be manly while enduring hot as frick Summers, and I'll just be out here chillin' smoking legal pot and fishing while it's 74 degrees out in July

I remember that winter as my SO and I went down there for a couple of days in December. On the River Walk we were warm but we were freezing at street level and we had parked all the way near the Alamo.

Fortunately we found one of those horse-drawn carriages (the horse had a tiny Santa Claus on its head) to take us back to our parking spot.
