Do you honestly believe that recruits are looking at our team, our non-sold out stadium, and our sorry fricking coach and saying, "I want to go there."? If we fired him, that would at least send recruits a message that we don't tolerate losing.

Not really. When you are a large state school like A&M you get kids because of who you are. Sumlin recruited well in his early time here because he had success. Now his recruiting sucks because of the trajectory of the program. This year is his worst class yet.
I guarantee that LSU will not lose one fricking recruit because they hire Herman instead of keeping Orgeron. If we shite canned Sumlin and got someone who can coach, we'd be just fine too.
Sumlin's yearly implosion has hurt his recruiting more than any relationship has helped him.

But don't worry. We won't fire Sumlin. Our athletic department is cultureally committed to underachieving in every sport. They are too pussiefied to shite can a coach that sucks to send a message that this won't be tolerated. No, well keep Sumlin a few more years. And this is why we still haven't learned how to win.
