@dmag82 Decided to go back in with synthetic turf around homeplate. Heavy traffic and limited light make it difficult to grow grass there.

Now its going to look shitty like Bama's new field.

Dumb move. I highly doubt Leo would have done this.

Well...Leo ain't doing much right now but resting in peace, hopefully.

Outside of baseball purist cult superstitions, I don't really see the big deal.

It looks fine if you do it right. Here's Alabama's field under the lights.

Maybe that picture was a previous setup because it doesn't look the same.

OM has it all the way down the line. A lot of others do too. I still don't have to like it. They'll do their best to make it close, but to me its going to look too different. I would rather have a few minor wear spots.

This has nothing to do with Leo. When the field and stadiun were redone it changed the soil structure and the environment.

It's harder to grow grass there than it was before and a decision was made likely by the new AD. This wasn't a Leo thing.

Although I fricking hate it, that doesn't look too bad, I guess.

Never mind.

But then again, I'm no baseball purist.

Just needs a little paint, and it will blend right in.
