Obviously we would all like a win, but what would y'all like to see from the offense and defense that would be an improvement from last year?

Offense
- A more vertical passing attack...not as many bubble screens
- When we do run the ball, the offense line knocking some heads

Defense
- The entire team flying to the football and wrapping up.
- Our corners staying with their guy, and instead of panicking, turn their head and make a play on the ball

Overall, I'd like to see a more physical football team.

On top of everything you said, I would love to see us go run heavy for a drive and move it down the field similar to how we did at times in the bowl game. It goes with the more physical team thing I guess

I want to see good fundamental football.

While this is very important, I feel like I could get over a few fundamental errors as long as guys are playing aggressive. If an error is made going full blast down hill, I can somewhat get over it.

i want to see a disruptive dline from end to end with plenty of quality depth.

can our running game take control in the second half with a lead?

curious what our lbers will look like.

It's all about third down defense and offense. That metric is critical to winning lots of games.

Our receivers need to beat press coverage and spavital needs to run plays that gives them the routes to do so. That's the improvement I want to see bc that's the one I have the least amount of faith in us fixing. If we can't do that then we'll continue to struggle against SEC defenses. I could give two s**** about how many points we put up against lamar rice etc.

It's our opening drive and we move the ball down the field. Then it's 3rd and 1 at the ASU 35 yard line. I want to see us be able to run Carson or White over the right side behind Cheek and Ifedi to get the first down. This should be like a layup. I want to see if we can count on being able to do this.

We score a TD and Bertolet trots out onto the field. I want to see his extra point kick go right through the middle of the goal post. I don't want to have to momentarily guess whether that football snuck through the uprights.

ASU connects on a crossing pattern over the middle. Wilson, Evans, Dunning or Watts delivers a shot to separate their WR from the football. I want to see if our DBs can maintain their discipline and hit the man below the shoulders. I don't want to have to guess whether this is going to be a targeting penalty followed by an ejection.

Maybe you don't like the rule. Tough shite. That's the rule now in modern football. If you can't play within the rule, then we can't count on you to stay in the game and need to start someone else in that position.

Offense

The return of a power running game. In this leaque you have to have it at some point. Got to get back to being able to do this is some situations.

Defense

Keep outside containment. So many things go wrong when you can't.

Much better pressure on QB from multiple positions. Don't care how good DBs are, no one can cover for 5-6+ seconds.

I want to see our corners defend a deep ball without commiting PI, I want to see our receivers beat press man and I want Taylor Bertolet to get lost on the way to the stadium.

Offense - I would like to see 4+ yards per carry and 150 yards rushing from our RB's. Going between the tackles.

Defense - I would like to see us completely shut down their running game and make them one dimensional. Once we do that we will have a very good indication of how much the secondary has improved.

Special Teams - I want to see us average 25+ yards per return.

this this this. I want to see us run the ball effectively when we need to do so. That one change puts our offense in the top 10 last year and keeps our defense off the field an awful lot.
