What's being overlooked is that our Rant relationship with Arky has been pretty civil despite 3-0, I think 4-0 will push us into new hostile territory with the former SWC team

Nah, that is not how the pigs roll. They will be quiet until they actually win, and THEN they will act like they will never lose to us ever again.

I kinda feel for them, they are proud fans who got kicked in the nuts when that motorcycle fell over. They are three years into what is for them their splash hire head coach, this is when they MUST see more results than two SEC wins or maybe just maybe Bert was a mistake.

It will be fun this year for sure. They are desperate about taking the step forward, even more than us I believe.

Yup. #Ags&Bacon2015 will be an all-out brawl for a host of reasons.

They also couldn't run the ball when it really mattered. They didn't pick up a first down in OT, and we'll be substantially deeper in the front 7 this year.

Agreed. Last year was their year to beat us, and they came up short.

And not only will we be deeper in the front 7, we'll be bigger and stronger.

Especially considering the fact that they had nothing to lose last year. This year they'll have expectations to shoulder.

I vote we make a secret pact to endlessly compliment each other and play up the #SWCClique relationship for the entire week leading up to the game. The rant would be so fricking lost.

I'd be down if HogRant is

870Hog and I had a good time with "tArk vs. tFlagship" theme last year

We are either going to surprise a lot of folks this year, or we are going to do just like everyone says. If it is the latter, Sumlins tenure may be at an end.

I bet the former happens and everyone says, where'd A&M come from? And Sumlin will just flash that million dollar grin.

The external narrative makes perfect sense from a surface level view.

We've gotten worse each year in the league.

What people who follow the program know is that in '12 we had multi year starter upperclassmen at almost every position with a chip on their shoulder.

We also know that there was almost nothing behind them, especially on defense.
We waited a year too long on Snyder, but I think Chavis was well worth it.

There is literally nothing Sumlin could do on the field to lose his job this year. If he went 3-9 he'd still get one more year if for no other reason than the financial hurdle. We just owe him too much fricking money.

I wouldnt say desperate, we've seen steady progress with BB. Our offense is set for it's best season in 3 years, defense will likely take a step back but talent is there and Rob Smith is a magician. Our main issue last year was ST, mainly FG's but kickoffs where horrible also.

I figure anywhere from 8-10 total wins should be expected from this team.

This year really isn't going to be a make or break year due to all the coaching changes. I really do see this years team sneaking up on people this year because of the lack of defense the past few years. There is talent on the defensive side of the ball, now let us all see if they can be coached up by a proven good coach.
