9-3 (5-3), tied for 3rd in the west.
Losses to @MSU, @Alabama, & @Auburn.
Ranked 16th
Going to the Outback Bowl (2 in playoff, 1 in non playoff "BCS" level bowl, & Cap1 all go in front of us.)

Yes or No?

ABSOLUTELY.

That would mean a 10-3 season in a rebuilding year, would give Sumlin a 3-year record of 30-9 and would all but lock up a top 2 class.

Absolutely. IMO, that's best case scenario at this point

With a fricking smile. I'm just hoping we don't finish 6-6.

Who wouldn't take that? Just don't lose in an embarrassing way again.

Hell yes, I'd be happy about it. I think that's overly optimistic at this point, though. If the Ags continue to play like they have the past two weeks they'll need Bo to be Bad Bo for a win, and LSU and Mizzou will be crapshoots. If the WRs start catching the ball again and Kenny makes somewhat better passes, I can see 10-2 with a win over Bama. But I think 8-4 is more likely with a loss to Good Bo and dogfight close wins against LSU and Mizzou.

Given Pre-season expectations: Yeah
Given how deep the West is: Yeah
Given the 5-0 start: Nah. Finishing 4-3 seems like a bid of a skid to take into the off-season, even if it is against a gauntlet.

With that said, it looks more and more like SC was just awful rather than A&M being super good. Sorry, we took away your best win.

S'ok, we still get to say we beat a top 10 team. People will forget in a decade or so that y'all dropped the rest of the season

9-3? That'd be awesome. Better than I expect, so, yes, I'd take it.

If it would guarantee us 9-3 I would mail a check for 1,000.00 right now.

9-3 keeps the recruiting momentum strong. And will mean that we only lost to teams that will most likely finish in the top 10 or 15

I'm not going to lie. I know I'm new to Texas. I know a lot of programs in and out of the state are fighting A&M over the same recruits. But I've seen the facilities upgrades and the expansion. Sumlin has already proved that he can win. The Horns' program has collapsed in on itself. There is no reason why A&M shouldn't take off like a rocket in the next couple of seasons.

I know games aren't played on paper, and recruits choose schools for a whole host of reasons, and I don't mean to knock on another program.. but there is no reason why A&M should ever lose to the MSU's of the world in the future.

Problem is we aren't in a vacuum. We could have twice the team a Baylor does and still have less national success because we play Bama and Baylor plays TCU. We need to stay hungry and not act like we are "there" just because we are finally headed in the right direction.

Every team in the SEC West would run roughshod through the Big 12 except Arkansas.

Oh trust me, we'd be rolling in the conference titles and the BCS bowl games if we were still in the ACC these last few years so I know the feeling. With that said, playing in the SEC alone gets us more exposure and money than Clemson could ever dream of. Same goes for A&M and the other TX teams.

Also, the way I see it.. there are a lot of successful programs in the SEC who have always had to play each other for decades. So if they can do it..
