Yeah, I don't see a whole lot of smack talk happening this week.

Maybe Texag7 or Telwafax will step up and take charge

Ditto. I want to see them admit that Chavis carried Miles several seasons.

Thats never going to happen. We won a national championship without him and 2013 seasons the offense carried the defense. Still had a good defense but terrible late in the game.

It did in 2013 and somewhat in 2012. Jarvis Landry and OBJ had a lot to do with it but still despite our total defense ranking those defenses were average at best.

That was one ridiculously talented offenses that under achieved.

Scoring O/Total O
23/42

Scoring D/Total D
22/26

Still the defense outperformed the offense.

Those offenses were decent at best, and always seemed to either come out flat to start a ga,e or end up flat to finish it. They scored points, no doubt, but their defense kept them in games and at the end off the game, after leaning on the defense the entire game, the defense ran out of gas.

The offense was incapable of putting together points when they needed it. in fact, I would compare those LSU offenses to this 2015 tamu offense. Just flat as frick and unexplainably so. if that's the best you've ever had, which it is, it's perfectly understandable you would think those are good. But they aren't...at all.

Those teams are the reasons chief left. He was sick of having the only competent unit on the field, playing good games and fielding defenses good enough to win championships, and getting the entirety of the blame when the problem was obviously offensive ineptitude.

1. I never said I think those offenses were good. I just said they carried the defense that year. Which is was every game except Florida and Alabama and somewhat Ole Miss. Georgia hung 44 on us and we kept up with 41. And those are not the best offenses we had. Jamarcus Russel was a stud at LSU our offense was prime then, 2007 was pretty stout too. 2013 was refreshing because we went from being absolutely fricked on 3rd down one year to the one of the best 3rd down teams in the nation the next. So I will say it, that offense was pretty good and it was and the defense was good but we've seen better. Those defenses definitely better than what we got now though.

And we only blamed him when the other team ran 2 minute drills with 50 seconds left to score the winning touchdown, because we knew the offense would not get down the field. We always looked back at the offense. But it doesnt make sense to give the other team the sideline with no timeouts and then proceed to allow them to do that to about the 25 yard line.

Was the offensive mostly abysmal compared to his defenses? Yes. Would he have stayed if his contract was fully guaranteed, most likely.
