After many tears, prayers, and long conversations, the Gruner family has decided that rather than subject little Otto to a myriad of treatments leading him to suffer from horrible side effects (with minimal chance of recovery), the best course of action is to get Otto back home to Navasota and make his last days as joy and love filled as possible.

breaking out the card as we speak... bless this family that is terrible

raised over $70k in less than 24 hours. Good showing from Ags and friends.

I don't know the family at all and I usually read these things and think "well that sucks", but this time I had to donate.

I know Gus and Kourtney real well. Kourtney's brother is Kendall Rogers, College Baseball Write....

Anyway, I got to see Otto before they left the hospital, and to describe the experience would be "tough"... Otto has long been unresponsive to noise and others.... well, until now!

When they removed the tumor, it freed up a lot of the brain that is responsive to these things. He now laughs, smiles, cries, etc. Kourtney and Gus are ecstatic that he is finally "here" and I'm happy they get to experience his real personality if these are his last days.... I never rule out a miracle.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They are going to need it the next couple of months.
