I assume the sun gave it a different look.. or did the Aggies rock some red-ish helmets at some point?

Shitty arse Nike couldn't ever get our colors right.

Edit: it is also the lighting/pic. We never had lime green turf either.

That turf used to be pretty bright. I am so glad we were grass by the time I got there.

Red was actually the primary color before maroon if I'm not mistaken.

I may get booed down, but I will tell you why I didn't choose Johnny.

I wasn't to particularly proud of him as an individual. If there was a mythical Mt Rushmore I would like to have people on it who I could not only brag about their sports acumen, but the content of their character too.

theGarnetWay, you get a vote too. I want to know what an former outsider's take on it is. I'm sure the names on the list aren't as familiar to you as most of us. We can make this a good learning experience.

Farmer, I'm hoping Garrett can make it to the point of being considered as well.

He only has to get marginally better and stay healthy for 2 more years and he will.

Now the things out of his control, the rest of the D around him needs to get better too. Von lead his D to a 9 win (ranked OU, NU, and tu) regular season after a shitty year before and start to that season. He wouldn't have gotten near the love if we sucked.

Nah I hear ya, Jobu. I made my list purely off athletic exploits/historical significance.

If we throw character into the mix, that'd instantly change a couple of my votes, tbh.

The one I agonized over was Quentin Coryatt. I LOVED the way he played. I just don't know who to take off.

So well said I will quote to post it a second time

Also, FWIW - Gary Blair will always be ahead of Johnny Football in my mind. While he may have been a Tech grad, pretty sure he has done some good in College Station and I can see him ending his career there.

Gary Blair may be a Raider at heart, but he's an Aggie too. He's done such a great job with hoops and the community, I can see why you mention him. He's as good as good people can be.

I honestly could swap JM for QC

I only put JM there because he was one of the primary reasons we exceeded expectations upon entering the SEC and the attention he garnered the program. I feel he put us several years ahead in the recognition of A&M

Indeed. Based off my limited Aggie historical knowledge I'd have to go

JFF
Gill
Von Miller
and myself.
