Freshman Petroleum Engineering Sage Northcutt recently signed with the UFC after his 2nd round submission victory Friday night at Legacy 44. It's a meteoric rise for someone who is 5-0 and whose professional career spans less than a year. The UFC doesn't sign too many teenagers; very few such fighters other than Vitor Belfort come to mind. Northcutt does have the pedigree to compete at the highest level and Dana White apparently agrees. He is a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a third degree black belt in Kajukenbo.

UFC 192 is set for October 3 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Northcutt’s opponent has not yet been announced.

Example of His Handiwork; KO Starting at 2:20

Its not uncommon for the UFC to sign local guys for the under card's under card. Lets just hope he does better than Bubba Bush.

Don't get your hopes up.

Will look to challenge him in the Rec. Center. Soon to be 5-1, courtesy of tGW.

Meet him a few times as we trained at the same gym for a couple of months, always seemed like a nice kid, didn't know he was going to A&M.

In Bush's defense, his opponent Kevin Casey tested positive for steroids after the fight and the decision was changed into a no-contest.

Bush has a chance for redemption when he fights on October 24th in Dublin.

This. OSP even came out to Rocky Top before his fight with Glover Teixeira.

He'll be on the UFC 192 card as well. His fights end violently, one way or the other. Here's how Jordan's last fight ended:

I didn't even know Shawn Jordan could kick this high.

yeah. that was a nice one.

dude has amazing athleticism to be around 260 at 6ft tall.

he can dunk a basketball with a standing vertical. bench 610. i know he power cleaned like 440 or some wild shite.

i know all of that probably isn't functional for fighting, but you don't bench 610 or have a vertical like him without having a lot of natural power. he does have a 75 or 76in reach, not like some 69in reach lollipop guild mfer who can rep 405 or w/e.

Pre-fight update:

Sage Northcutt's opponent Frank Trevino (12-1, 1-1 in the UFC) weighed in 4 pounds over the limit and will have to forgo 20% of his fight purse. Northcutt, who fought on August 28th at 165 pounds, was able to make weight. Oddsmakers have pegged Northcutt as a more than 4-1 favorite to win this contest. He is listed at -420 on 5dimes.

The young lad won and did the craziest non-chalant flip I've ever seen. Wtf.

Flip is at the 2:00 mark

That flip was bodies in the attic insane and seemed to defy the law of physics. He jumped off of one foot and seemingly got no lift, and yet hung in the air like he was hanging on a rope. Then there was the fact that he spun so quickly he pushed the camera's maximum frame rate.

6' tall, good looking, ridiculously athletic, shredded as fricking frick... that guy must be beating away chicks with a broom. Jesus.

On a different note, how the frick did he make a 155 pound weigh-in? He's not just skinny-shredded, he is carrying around a fair bit of muscle, especially on his legs (and leg muscle is where you add serious weight). Look at these pics:

Again, he is not skinny! I mean all our defensive backs are 6' and around 200, and Sage is every bit is ripped as they are. I know his body fat's probably even lower than theirs and that guys dehydrate for weigh-in, but 155!? Insanity.
