Forgot about McNeal. Thought he was an "athlete" recruit like RSJ, but I guess scout has him as a 5*. Those coaches sure did a bunch with him after Sumlin left....

McNeal had a better career with A&M than Murray or Allen. None of the three came close to living up to expectations which is the story of A&M football since Y2K

McNeal was wasted by Fran. He should have transferred but it was a different era.

Mrs Sumlin..... Chil98 you really need to quit spinning the HC into something good. Nobody give a sh** if you sign two 5 stars if you can't develop them, or even less keep them on the God damn team!

RC was 12-0, 10-0-1 and 10-2 (with the conference title trophy of the best conference at the time) in those three years. All three would have made a four team playoff.

Well we figured the downvotes would give you the hint enough.
A) the college football playoff has only been around for a couple of years so Sumlin is the only A&M coach that could even do that, it wasn't around when Jackie or RC were here.
B) mid season accomplishments are bullshite, its about how your season ends and What your final ranking is, not what you accomplished after 6 games. 99% of college football fans won't remember in a year that we were #4 in the country for a ranking, the 1% that will is us, and our rivals who want to laugh and make fun of how far we fell.
