I really don't see that being a big factor. I'm pretty sure TOPS ended up being suspended for like a week anyways

You are correct Farmer, but they also try to manipulate Football athletes with it. It doesn't impact the 85 football scholarships, but it really helps the other 20 kids on the roster. That's 20 additional "faux" scholarships they can give out a year to entice players and their coaches to push kids to the LSU campus.

The coaches from the other departments have been freaking out.

What makes it manipulation? I just don't see how its deceptive to the recruits.

It doesn't have to be deceptive to be manipulative. Free rides to friends and family is influential. How could it not be?

Yeah I guess it doesn't have to be but Ive always associated manipulation with changing ones perception. You hear recruits say all the time "It's a business and I have to do what's best for me and my family"
To me influence falls more with persuasion. There's a difference between that and manipulation imo.

Maybe Chief was just catching a connecting flight in Atlanta to Nashville. Because on Thursday he stopped by in Jackson, TN to offer a safety there, Alec Long. Long is a big hitter in run support, not sure what kind of coverage skills he has, though.

Anyway, that's what a co-worker of mine from Jackson says, I've not seen him play. Said Chief showing up passes for news in a place like Jackson, where not a whole hell of alot is going on!

Maybe he was visiting family too. It just seems that concentrating recruiting efforts in GA and/or FL would provide us more talent than TN.

Inside linebacker, Abner Logan, just left the Maryland program. He might be a nice addition for a year. Could be a little limited after returning from ACL injury, but I'd take a flyer in min him. Somebody contact the staff.

I don't blame the coaches, but A&M really had no momentum in recruiting. Things could get pretty bad as Aggies "flame out" and the media starts blasting this story.

Ah yes, of course. Can't wait to see how you blame us fans for this instead of the coaches who get paid millions to recruit these kids and win games with them. It was me who did this, not them
