So if Childress would have won 2 games in 11 or 17 then he would have earned his keep.

Final Rankings
NR
12
12
NR
21
6
18
NR
NR
10
9
7-10 (guessing here)

If Sumlin or Kennedy finished like this, we'd be putting up statues by now.

10th would still be 3rd in the SECW in football.

Most years that means 10 to 11 wins and a NY6 Bowl.

I'd settle for 1 win.

What was inexcusable was taking the 2012 team that basically returned EVERYONE from the 2011 CWS team and going 1-2 in our own regional.

Speaking of similarities between coaches named R.C.

R.C. Slocum Bowl Record: 2-9

Rob Childress Postseason Record: 37-26 (6-13 after regional play)

Regional Play: 31-13
Super Regional Play: 6-9
CWS: 0-4

i definitely wanted him fired after that 2012 debacle and the following 2 piss poor seasons, but its ridiculous to want him gone after theses last 3 seasons.

some good news, kaylor chafin returing for his senior year!

Sherrod is coming back too.

I wonder if either will get a shot at starting. If not our bullpen will be great.

Childress earned more time by taking this team to Omaha

I'm sorry, first we were lucky to be there and then it was all Childress. Which is it? Are y'all interested in winning this thing or padding a decent/lucky coach's pockets?

I think Childress is a good coach.

But I do firmly believe that TAMU, as a whole, has a serious psychological problem with winning. This is why we went a combined 0-4 this year in the CWS. It is why our men cannot beat TCU. And it is why we always lose big games on big stages in every sport. We have great athletes but we have head problems.

Our university needs to sped several million and get the best sports psychologists available and have them work with our athletes.

And don't forget that they need to get therapist for the fans as well

i also think our AD has a pretty lax and "happy to be there" attitude, but i wouldnt use our softball and BB teams this year as examples. they ran up against some pretty damn good teams is all.

in the past, our chickball team beat a freaking man that had dominated us twice before on our way to a national title over 2 of the most successful programs in the sport. yes, britney griner had a penis at one time.

our 2012 soccer team (while seeded #1) went up against a notre dame team that many had picked to beat us and had arguably the best junior player in the world in cari roccaro. yet A&M made the final four

its not psychology. i dont know what it is, i just know we arent doing enough of it.

According to Gabe and Ryan Brauninger, it's official--he's not signing, and will be at A&M.

Big kid 6-4 who throws mid to low 90s with a changeup and slider. This is a pretty big move to get a 4th rounder to go to school.

He doesn't have the pure arm talent Sherff has, but I think he's goo enough to compete for a weekend stop.

Looks like we might not get him after all. Baseball declares him a FA. I guess he'll test the market. He did say he was going to school previously but that was before MLB ruled.
