I was reading an early draft preview and it actually compared him to Markakis on the field too. Banks pretty polished already and won't have a huge ceiling but should make it to the big leagues quickly if he pans out.

Hey, that's cool stuff. I watch a ton of Orioles games, so I got to see Markakis play a lot when he was in Baltimore. It's almost as if Banks has patterned his game after him. All business, and consistent production.

Banks has a ton of early hype as a top 10 or so pick next year. He will finish his career as one of the best position players we've ever had.

That he will. I have some common friends with his folks. He gone after this year. Not that it is surprising in the least, but I just wanted to put that out there.

I've always been a huge fan of Markakis' game, I think the comparison is a good one. Banks could possibly develop a little more power too.

It appears now the baseball team might have a shot at a national seed.

No premature celebration. Sure Hyman is out at A&M, but is he off the committee?

Wasn't last year his final year with the committee?

You don't get numbers when you sit out and aren't eligible to play. But I'm sure in 2017 he won't miss a beat.

Weekend rotation is probably what, Stub, Hendrix, Simonds/Larkins/Hill? Thought I saw chatter that Hendrix may go to the pen

Baseball season tickets sold out

I would guess this would be enough to move us ahead of tu in the attendance avg, but probably still behind LSU, Ark, OM, State, and USC. We won't be able to overtake them until we expand our stadium most likely.

good. It should always be that way. I don't really see much need to expand seating just yet though. I guess we'll see how full SRO gets game by game but I'm shy of overexpanding. I'd like to see the demand there consistently and then do it right

I agree. My point was that even with the sell outs we aren't quite up there with the best of the best as far as attendance goes. And we won't be without expanding.

I would be pro converting the grass berm(s) into actual seating (not giant metal bleaches). It'll increase capacity yet lower overfull.
