Houston Chronicle is the only site that mentions anything about the SEC Championship from yesterday.

Gotta think we're paired with TCU in a few.

DBU as 2 to Tech? Which leaves Rice to A&M?

Or would they ship Rice to Lafayette or Baton Rouge? I think La Tech and Tulane could fill the LA spots though

Sam is probably our 3.

Hey Sarge! You can watch with me at 11 as the SECN re-airs. Don't worry about jinxing it. I think we're safe

UF #1
A&M #4
MSU #6
LSU #8

So we're on UF's side of the bracket along with LSU

Tech is who we are lined up with in the 1st round in Omaha

The games stay the same time right. 3 & 8 all weekend? I don't remember.

I dunno. We're on SECN and so is UF at 5pm. My guess is our games may be adjusted for tv. The NCAA site has no times listed for future games.

8 seems like a late start. But with no West regionals that's probably going to be the norm.

That is what I figured. Us & TTU are going to get the west coast times.

So Corbin Martin in a tie game in the 6th huh

Okay, so what pitchers do we actually trust? Clearly Hendrix is outside the circle.

Definitely in

Hill
Simonds
Vinson
Ecker

Who else?

Absolutely no reason for this team to be a 4 seed. Second straight year they've been screwed.

Maybe Sherrod? I dunno. Schlottman is definitely not in the circle and I hope RC forgets we have a lefty

I think our rotation should go Vinson-Hill-Simonds-Larkins (if needed). Obviously Ecker in a close game situation late, hopefully not in game 1. Kilkenny, Kolek, & Vines as the mid to long relief (not always in that order). Vinson should be able to throw an inning or 2 Monday if needed in relief.

I don't want to see Hendrix, Martin, or Sherrod unless it is a blowout. I also don't want Ty unless its for 1 or 2 lefties. His walks drive me up a tree.

Ivey is the wildcard. I could see him getting a start if we use Larkins & Vines out of the pen.

You're taking it too hard. It doesn't matter. We have a much more favorable match up than the #1 overall.

I like this too. If we build a lead we can pull Vinson on Friday. He's shown he can bounce back on short rest and be very effective.

When did he last pitch. Unless I'm mistaken he's had 1 outing since mid-April. I know RC mentioned him a few weeks back but I'm not sure he's even available

It's the principle, no fricking way should we be seeded behind any one except Florida.

That is why I called him a wildcard. He's got 10 starts and was effective in 5 of them. Clearly the competition effected him, but maybe it was an injury too. I know there has been rumors. After that RC kept him on a short lease. The talent is there. If we get to a game that requires our #4 or #5 then I think he could be a candidate.

Hofstra: 6 IP, 0 ER
Pepperdine: 6 IP, 0 ER
Yale: 4.1 IP, 0 ER

Florida: 1.1 IP, 2 ER
Rice: 3.1, 2 ER
ACU: 1.2, 1 ER (relief)
Tx St: 2 IP, 1 ER
Sam Hou: 2.2, 4 ER

I may agree that we have been higher than 4, but UL, Miami, and UF had great seasons. Season that could be argued better than ours. All 3 have a higher RPI. All 3 played a tougher OOC schedule. UL & Miami had more top 25 wins. Both had more conference wins in a conference that had a higher RPI than the SEC. UL & UF had more overall wins. Miami won a regular season title. UF kicked out arse 3/4. I think any outrage is misplaced.
