He hasn't visited yet iirc. He had one scheduled but had to cancel for some reason. Supposedly coming soon but I can't remember when

Not sure anyone cares but Chris Owens of Arl Lamar committed to Bama. We offered him as an interior lineman. I know some offered as a DT. Not sure where Bama is going to put him but in their 3-4 I bet they see him as an OG too.

It's hard to get upset losing an interior OL prospect given we are in good stead with the Anderson twins. I do think we'd like 3-4 this year though. My understanding is DC is in love with Martin and Sutherland but isn't too happy with our pipeline and we'll likely take 6 OL this year. That unhappiness btw is mostly that we have just 1 SO in JJ and few options at C, not that the guys we have are bad.

We'll probably wait til we get Elbert, Lanfear, and McCoy on campus before we make a decision on exactly how many lineman to take.

I haven't really. Last I heard we were staying on him and he's receptive but that's about it.

Kind of disappointing because from what I understood, Owens did really like us too. Guess his Alabama visit just blew him out of the water and he just pulled the trigger now so his offer would be committable still. I do think he's a good flip candidate down the road. Just have to see.

I think owens wanted to lock in his spot, because Alabama isn't taking a very big class this year.

Unimpressed with his offer sheet that's for sure.

Don't know anything about the kid, and it looks like nobody else does either.

He's about to BLOW UP. He's 6'2 180 and runs a 4.4. He's smooth, fast, can jump....

Should be a press monster.

He is pretty raw as far as technique, and isn't physically mature either. He has a super high ceiling.

Oliver was used more on offense at his high school as a tailback than at corner initially then played both sides of the ball last year quite a bit, that's why he was under the radar for the most part. He's got tremendous upside but he'd still a bit of a raw talent as a defensive player. I think we're taking 4 guys at corner and 2 safeties. Greedy Williams visited like it was mentioned. He's real high on us right now too. LSU is kind of slowplaying him and that's really helping our cause. CJ Morgan-Walker is another kid we like and he's friends with Greedy so that might be a 1-2 combo coming soon. Eric Monroe gets a spot no matter what. It's starting to look good on that front.

oh wow. What's truly brutal about this is they were in Austin this weekend. They called and committed on the way home. They aren't even home yet

Really excited about both of them. High character/IQ guys with the right aggressive mentality. Love their frames.

Last three commits have been underwhelming from a rankings standpoint, but it makes me feel better honestly. We definitely are recruiting to needs and scheme.
