Depends on how they leave. Moore & Mack did it last year.

The odds for a recruit re-committing after a decommitment usually don't favor the original school. Of course that's not always the case, as we saw with Moore and Mack last cycle but normally it's just awkward for both a school and player and they move on. It just depends on the nature of it like Farmer said. The Lodge recruitment with us last year is a perfect example of both sides melting down, lol.

A 24/7 poster today made a good point about Cleveland that just makes sense. Basically, Tyrie was-- for the most part--under the radar last year. People knew he was good, but people didn't see the potential outside of some film and such. We knew he was this good already, thus the early offer. But his recruitment just took off when they were able to do evaluations and everything. Then Beatty left. Then after the Dallas SPARQ combine where he pretty much dominated, he knew now he's a top 3 receiver in the state and can afford the luxury of being recruited with the best of them.

He still likes us a lot, but he's been listening to TCU, LSU, Houston, and a couple other SEC schools as well.

Toby Weathersby graduates from Westfield this year, the guard you picked up last cycle. Big Ed Oliver is big on LSU, another Westfield kid-- trust me, there's a link in there somewhere. You have Dee Anderson and Stephen Sullivan so far, but Sullivan is 6'5 230. There's talk that he's eventually going to spin down to TE, making adding another receiver a possibility for sure.

UF, FSU, UH are probably the top competition at this point.

I feel like there has been a shift in Texas HS recruiting this year...being that kids are a bit slower to commit. I think it has to do with a combination of 1) kids that wait generally get more media attention and 2) there is no clear cut major program right now (regardless of performance, recruits don't want to go to TCU).

What's up with these Westfield kids thinking about UofH?

Will be interesting to see how this recruiting class turns out.

Because of Mack's tweet of the shirt? I am huge fan of that kid.

How far would a .500 sip season go this year? Would like to hear what kind of malapropisms Charlie comes with when the heat starts to get turned up. We're in a very good position right now, it's an opportune time, but it's got to be backed up on the field. Love this exchange between these young fellas.

The man could turn out to be a genyus before it's all said and done, but I like what I'm seeing and hearing so far. Hope he turns out to be just a little better than average, and that it takes the sips a decade to figure it out.

My thoughts exactly. At first I thought I wanted him to crash and burn immediately, but if he can be their slow-cooking Fran and ruin them over a protracted period of time, that'd be even better.
