Okeke is the Nickelback. Jones is a FS and Monroe is being recruited as a CB.

i think theres a damn good chance if miles gets fired

lots of things can change depending on hires and such but we're going to have a lot of very tough decisions. There are only so many spots for DBs

An A&M early enrollee?

quote:

Talked to the play making linebacker after John Ehret's 34-7 win tonight. Mike had a big game with about 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and a couple QB hurries. Anyway, quick bullet points: -First off, he sounded anything but solid to LSU. In fact, he brought up the fact that he would be looking around without me even asking. He said he's got a couple months left (assuming he still wants to early enroll) before making a decision. That was big to me. -He spent more time talking about A&M than LSU. I did ask one more A&M question than I did LSU. -He loved his visit to College Station. He used the word family to describe the feeling he got from the players, coaches, fans, and even academic staff. He mentioned the level of comfort he had knowing that A&M has had Louisiana kids come over and be successful on the field and in the classroom. -Coach Sumlin, Coach Chavis, and Coach Joseph will be in home with Divinity on Wednesday to talk "football and education" -The Ags got a real shot here, y'all...and adding Divinity to Tyrel Dodson at LB would be a huge coup. I'll have highlights and interview up next week.

If LSU fires Miles without a homerun hire lined up, the close to this class could be fun

Looking like we have a real chance to flip Divinity

I don't see Divinity flipping now that Les Miles is remaining at LSU

If I'm a recruit, I have serious concerns about committing the next 3-4 years of my life and trusting my professional development to a staff that has a 50/50 to be in place at the end of my first season.

There's a chance he may decommit from LSU, whether or not he flips to the Ags is another question.

Any clue how the Helton hire at USC might affect Oluwole?

I would think we would be more threatened by a different hire than the existing coach, but more certainty at the position is always a threat to our recruitment.

In other news we are putting the full court press on Brandon Jones, doesn't look like we are taking this one for granted like Sheffield.

Loach called we would flip OL Ryan McCullum from Ok State and it didn't happen. Instead the kid posted on Twitter he wasn't committed to us. Everyone on TA was asking him if this was like when he fired Jacob

I just don't trust anyone after Sheffield last year. We press Jones and make it happen. He is elite and will get in the depth chart immediately. Need him badly

I understand. They will have freshman and sophomores all in their secondary next year no need to worry.
