2016 NFL Combine

"While it is not a perfect science, the goal of the committee is to invite every player that will be drafted in the ensuing NFL Draft."

332 players were invited. There are 224 that get selected in the NFL draft. I'm maybe mildly surprised Matthews didn't get invited but I probably shouldn't be.

I believe the committee asks for accurate measurements from colleges. There is really no point in lying as one of the first things done at the combine is measurements. Lying also reduces your credibility for when you need to advocate for a guy that maybe is on the cusp.

I think Mike is actually only around 6' tall with a shorter reach. He just didn't have a strong enough senior year or film in general to warrant his play overcoming his physical limitations.

yeah almost certainly. In fact I'll be mildly surprised if he doesn't end up on an NFL roster at some point.

But the draft is all about measurables and they don't like to use picks on guys that don't have ideal NFL size. They'd rather draft a guy that if he hits has a chance to be an All-Pro rather than a guy likely to be a good squad player.

I'm sure ifedi will get drafted somewhere but after that my guesses as to likely hood of being drafted assuming our guys have decent combines is:

Kaser (I know punters aren't usually drafted but that someone will pick him up for sure)
