Anyone making it to opening day at Minute Maid park?

Texas's best and favorite baseball team is ready

The Astros may want to avoid a repeat of last year's "Come and Take It" flag. Somebody did. Shockingly it was the Rangers, who despite having one of MLB's worst GM's somehow managed to win the division.

The Ranger fans were so rustled by that little graphic that they're talking about it a year later. In the end the Astros won the wild card and lost in the first round in a crushing fashion, just like the Rangers did. The only difference is, the Astros were picked 5th in the division and we're supposed to be average at best. Now we have a full season of CC, McCullers, a real closer, and we ditched the abominations at first base.

That flag doesn't rustle me at all. The only thing that makes me want to crawl into a corner and weep is any mention of game 6. Y'all can keep your stupid flag

Also, since I'm bringing back terrible sports memories, is there anything worse than non-partial people watching a crushing loss with you saying some shite like "oh Agalloch, I thought the Rangers were about to win?" I feel like people have murdered for less.

I don't think I could have found a more terrible font (comic sans maybe?) than what is on that video board.

I had a stretch of about 5 years where I never missed a Rangers opening day.

Unfortunately, life changes** have precluded me from such pleasures.

**I don't get the free tickets and day off like I used to because I don't work for that firm anymore. Bitter/Sweet. Glad I don't work for those frickers anymore.

My best friend and I would go to every opening day from about the 8th grade until we graduated. It was a blast. Wish I had the ability to do it every year still.

So while I'm rooting for the Rangers from afar, I get to "root" for this hot garbage of a team.

At least their tickets are cheap.
