It never hurts to get the next generation in on an early start.

Good showing so far, our non existent bench is likely going to bite us at some point in the second half at this pace though.

We'd be fricked if the refs weren't calling the game tight. Normally I'm all for more aggressive defense, but not with this year's team.

Was it 1986 that we last beat them in b-ball in Fayetteville?

Thank God Bert is so terrible against Sumlin.

At least we have football on you guys. What happened this year? Hogg and Davis were supposed to be top notch and Williams ended up being a huge asset. Very disappointing.

Davis put up 21 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It's not like he no-showed tonight.

Honestly, and this is going to blow your minds , I was fairly happy with the offensive strategy tonight. We bludgeoned them inside over and over, which is what we need to do every game. I said a a week ago that our big men need to be scoring ~50/game combined and we were pretty close to that tonight. No complaints from me there.

We lost the game because we were -9 in TOs and didn't box out (poor fundamentals... SSDD), though we grabbed a lot of offensive boards ourselves to mostly neutralize this. Still, -9 on TOs and -3 in offensive rebounding margin is WAY too many extra possessions for Arkansas, especially because TO possessions and offensive board possessions lead to easy baskets so frequently.

Davis is averaging 14-7-1.5-1 while shooting 62%.

considering hes the focal point of our offense, practically the only player other teams scheme against, and hes still putting up those kind of numbers....speaks volumes to how good he is.

I just meant the year in general. Not just tonight. We have some great talent. Why are we struggling so much?

Lack of depth and lack of a PG.

We played 8 players tonight. The commentators were saying our players on the court looked exhausted and worn out (which they've said in several games). Even then, we still weren't willing to put Villa in.

My big take away from the past two games is that Eubanks can be a contributor next year. If Williams or Trocha return, we go to the tournament. If they both leave, we're going to need all of the freshman to contribute or most of them and a good transfer to pop up.

Bench points in the game tonight: Arky 27, Ags 4. Enough said.

i dont think eubanks will ever do much. we need more quickness and guys that create off the dribble and thats exactly what caldwell and all the incoming freshman do. whatever happens to TTM/Williams, Hogg needs to learn to be a stretch 4. if he does, we wouldnt miss a beat if we lose those two guys.

Definitely agree that he hasn't shown that he'll be a scorer or a significant contributor, but at this point we're just looking for bench guys who we can put on the court and not cause the game to completely collapse.
