Question about Reed:

With our Basketball program on the rise and our athletic facilities at GOAT levels, has there been any word about adding capacity to Reed Arena? We broke the record last year with a 13,888 attendance against LSU. I know that isn't a small number at all, but we are Aggy and therefore must be bigger. 54th in the country for Basketball arena capacity just doesn't cut it. What say you Aggie ranters?

Need to sell out more than half the games first.

We need to show that we can sell it out more regularly I'd assume

I would rather just make it nicer than add capacity

That's where I'm at. We have no real reason to add capacity but I would like to see it get a renovation

I saw something about $$ going into Reed back in 2014. Did that ever happen?

It sucks as a basketball stadium. I would even reduce capacity and move it closer to the court.

Brandon Rachal had a bunch of positive things to say about A&M's facilities this weekend. He sounded like he really enjoyed his visit. I believe he is choosing between A&M, LSU and the Sips later this week.

BK talked about this a few weeks ago at Coaches for Cancer. Recruits all want to go to the big games and A&M lights up and everyone is excited which makes the whole place more fun. He saw that as the benefit of being at a "football school."

Keep in mind that the funding for Reed Arena was approved as part of a deal to get us to go into the Big 12 in the mid 90's. The political players at the time basically told A&M to go along and everything will be approved for a new arena in no time. It was intended as a multi purpose venue and not per se a stand alone sports venue.

Does A&M actually own Reed? I remember when it was built that A&M had to reserve it just like any other organization.

Coach Blair appears to be using the football games for recruiting too. After a couple of shaky years in recruiting, he is doing well again. He has 2 Top 100 players committed to the 2017 class. He also seems to have been able to tap into the state of Georgia for several recruits recently.

CGSC: I believe A&M does now own it. I think that situation changed a few years ago. It was a weird set up for sure.

I'm sure letting Myles and Knight show the young ladies around campus couldn't hurt

Do most women's basketball players care about Myles or TK have to offer?
