He's supposedly already one of the strongest guys on the team and out lifts many of our defensive linemen.

I can't imagine he won't grow into a linebacker by next year. He's gonna look awkward running around in the secondary with those arms

I thought justin Evans looked huge but Pryor is going to make him look tiny

That's not a good thing (for our linemen)

if A&M can stay healthy at lb and cb, it looks like you may have enough dline depth to put up a good defense this year.

I also think the second half of the season will be better than the first.

Our schedule is favorable. Both neutral site games are in Texas (and the ASU game will be a de facto home game), we only have three true road games (and one of them is lolVandy), we get Bama after a bye week and we get LSU after a brutal three game stretch of Bama, Ole Miss and Arkansas while we get Vandy and Western Carolina prior.

No excuse not to win at least 9, but I am lukewarm on Sumlin and company after 59-0 and other various reasons so I say we win 8. Spav's offenses havent done dick yet against a single good defense. Bama, LSU, MSU, Mizzu and Ole Miss slammed his dick in the door.

Arkansas had the #10 total def, and WVU was 35th in efficiency and made Baylor/TCU look very average. We scored the most points on WVU and 2nd most on Arkansas (to auburn who got them week one with a new DC)
We had a rough stretch in the middle of the season where a RS FR QB with huge limitations flamed out, the team quit on him, we played a brutal stretch and then switched to a true freshman.

In '13 as co OC we scored 42 against #5 def Bama and 51 against #18 def Mississippi state.

Yeah, he played in a couple games as well lol. He may as well have redshirted, he only saw garbage^2 time. It was a sloppy post.

In 2013 Spav wasn't calling plays until the Duke game, and I'm pretty sure I could drop 40 on someone if you let me call plays for Johnny Manziel.

Our offense looked like shite from the end of the first drive to about 8 minutes to go in the 4th against Arkansas, and I have little interest in judging the quality of our staff by what they do against the 6th best team in the Big-Whatever.

There was no excuse with our talent level for how poor we looked most of lady year offensively. Play calling was shite, Speedy Noil was grossly misused, our run blocking scheme was little league-esque and Spav ignored the middle of the field in almost every game. He coached a horizontal game and it was stagnant.

Speedy noil was raw, isn't a hard worker, and was hurt in the middle of the year.

Arkansas played the perfect defense for Kenny hill, Spav called a very good game all things considered.

Spav seriously was handcuffed last year. Kenny knew the offense but couldn't make all the throws. Kyle could make all the throws but only if they were his first read.

kyle allen being young is the main reason i think you do better in the second half (along with noil, seals-jones and others).

this will be the most complete team sumlin has had since 2012.

if yall can get to 9 wins this year and get another recruiting haul, yall will be loaded next year and maybe thats when A&M kicks it up another notch, as in a perennial 10 win team.

Hell, you may hit 10 wins this year. People like to say that lsu running the ball all the time and milking the clock helped chavis' defenses at lsu, and to a degree theyre right, however, chavis ALWAYS having to protect a slim lead and/or deal with a horrible offense also handcuffed him as a dc.

I remember watching the 2011 natty and was just amazed at how lsu was even in the game at halftime.

You very well may be right about us struggling to start the year. But after listening to Sumlin's interview yesterday when he called into Gabe; I get the impression he is more excited for this year and has bigger expectations than any year he has been here.

it may not show in w/l, but your team will be greatly improved during the second half, mainly due to some soph and freshmen coming along coupled with a new defensive scheme.

chavis' defense works best when it can "torque" off the mlb, so thats gonna be the biggest factor for yall. thats why beckwith didnt start for lsu more last year, the mlb is what makes a chavis defense run on all cylinders.

@OM
USCe
Aub
W Car
@Van
@LSU

I could see 5-1. That just means we need to go about the same vs the first half.
