I think Holy Cross may be a system like St. Mary's in which they have one in each state.

Holy Cross is an order of academic priests, (kind of like Jesuits, for my heathen friends). They founded colleges all over the country, including Notre Dame. St. Edwards in Austin is also a Holy Cross school. They don't all use the same name, but there are multiple Holy Crosses just as there are multiple St. Thomases.

For years, one problem with college ball was pitchers couldn't come inside as the huge sweet spot basically forced you to pitch away. It hasn't been a problem in the dead ball era but now with the new balls, it shows up again. It was really noticeable on JB Moss's HR. He seemed a bit jammed on it and yet it went out fairly easily.

I like that the balls have a bit more life and the game is already more interesting. But I do think you have to give the pitchers a fighting chance to "pitch" and not just throw. If you can fool a hitter with location, you should be rewarded. Instead you have to miss his bat which is more about raw stuff than the art of pitching. Greg Maddux wouldn't approve

We are smashing the FN baseball this year! Another 4 bombs tonight. The pitching has been strong too with 24-2/3 shut out until the 8th tonight.

Yeah it's hard to tell how much is the new hitting coach, how much the new ball, and how much just improvement. And I know it's not like we're facing Kershaw out there so far, but we've played bad teams the past few years and not hit the ball like this.
