I am. I've never been before so any suggestions on places to park, eat, etc. are more than welcomed.

I plan on getting really drunk for the actual game.

I am. Been twice in the past. I parked at an elementary school both times I believe.

I did not enjoy either experience. Not sure why I'm going again tbh.

I've heard some positive experiences but definitely some negatives as well.

I am, can't help you on parking but Ajax on the square and Phillips grocery next to the hospital are MUSTS. As far as bars on the square, city grocery is a little more classy but very good. You can't go wrong with roosters or the library. The rib cage is sort of a dive bar but frank and Marley's is better IMO.

Let me know if anybody has anymore questions, I've spent a lot of my life in Oxford and it's a wonderful, wonderful, drunken place

ETA: the fans in Oxford arent bad most of the time, not sure what Vol fan's bad experience was with it but I was there in 09 and they did let loose decades of frustration that day

If you were a 21 year old dude, going with 2 other 21 year old dudes, how would you spend the day Saturday?

I'm staying in Tupelo Friday night but may go in to Oxford then as well.

As long as you can get up for a 11 AM game you should definitely hit the square in Oxford as much as possible. It's honestly better than Knoxville (or anywhere else for that matter) as far as college towns go. Which bar you go to depends more on your personal taste but you can hardly go wrong

ETA: UNDER ZERO CIRCUMSTANCES DRINK AND DRIVE. YOU WILL GET CAUGHT

09 is definitely what I remember most. 11 AM kick, kind of chilly and a terrible game. Just got out of there after the game and drove back.

I plan to spend the whole day and night in Oxford this Saturday, so that should be a lot better.

I had an absolute blast in Norman this year, hopefully this will be similar.

Never been to Norman but from everything I've experienced Oxford should be better. We should all meet up at a bar and drown our sorrows

I found the OU fans pretty antipathetic towards our fans, my experience was that they pretty much ignored us, nothing nice and nothing rude.

I am going on a party bus from Germantown, TN with 15 other VOLS that is leaving at Noon and coming back after the game.

Was there in 09 for the 11:00 kickoff. It sucked. This year it's at night.
