Looking at the schedule, back to back losses to Georgia and South Carolina in Neyland would be ideal and should get the wheels turning. Follow that up by getting blizkrieged in Tuscaloosa and Lyle's seat should be scorching. We would be 3-4 at that point with Kentucky in Lexington looming.

My biggest fear is this troll coach is going to pull one out of his arse against the Dawgs and maybe LSU to save himself once again.

Volfan, have you heard any whispers and just how cutthroat is Currie?

7-5 and he's gone. I don't see Currie firing him for 8-4 or better.

It looks like we will get blown out by Bama and lose to Vandy again. That might be enough to finalize Butch.

The only problem is that I have no god damn faith whatsoever for Georgia to finally put it all together and not end up as a disappointment.

LSU could out Lyle Lyle.

USC looked awful.

Mark Stoops can't keep it close with VOLS.

MCBM may carry this man to 8 wins

I think 7-5 gets him fired. 8-4 would be safe sadly

That's assuming butch actually gives Kelly the ball which is far from certain

this. Kelly only had 19 carries against Florida with a 7.1 ypc

7-5 would be the only way it gets dicey imo.

Obviously you can't predict how things will go game by game but I don't see any way he is fired at 8-4 or better or any way he survives 6-6 or worse.

If he goes 7-5 and somehow is retained, I am going to lose my mind

It will be very liberating knowing that Tennessee football is done.

feasibly, with how much research has shown in regards to head trauma, Football's only got a good 30 years left. VOLS have won their last natty, it was a great run :(

If we lose to Vandy, I would think Currie pulls the trigger

If you're happy plateauing at 8 wins and never competing for championships, go root for Vandy.

If you are that miserable watching football then stop watching. i will take tennessee winning 8 games this year over them winning 5 or 6 to fire a coach and hire another one to do the same thing we are doing now. Get a life kid

-UMass: Win
-UGA: Lose
-South Carolina: Toss up, probably an L if history is any indication. Fan morale should be way, way down at this point.
-Alabama: Lose
-Kentucky: Win
-Southern Miss: Win
-Mizzou: Win
-LSU: Toss up, probably an L.
-Vandy: Toss up, probably an L as the team will have given up by then.

I am having a hard time finding 8 sure wins on this schedule.

Every game from here on out (aside from Bama) is winnable. That said, with this coaching staff it appears as though 5 of our upcoming games are all very lose-able as well. The manor in which we play UGA will determine the rest of the season. If we play close win/lose he can salvage the season; if we lose handily to UGA its done.

6-6 or worse. 7-5 and he will be back under immense pressure in recruiting and then next year could lead to an early termination if he starts out slow per the usual.
