Tennessee did leave about five or six sacks on the field because they couldn't bring a 200 lb QB down.

Colton Jumper would've whiffed and concussed himself against that wall while Mayfield struts down the sidewalk imo

After seeing Trevor Knight's 40 time (mind you his 1st one), it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Mayfield wasn't even faster. And Knight ran a 4.54. Dobbs ran a 4.64 seconds for perspective. Knight also jumped higher and farther as well as ran the cone drill better (Dobbs was 2nd). That said, Dobbs was still faster in games if you ask me and was the 2nd or 3rd place QB in all events (threw the best ball in drills). Dobbs also bested Watson in all drills and was even the best passer at the combine. And yet Knight beat him in a lot of events and is faster in the 40. Mayfield is no slouch -- we saw what he did to a damn fast group up front.

BUT imo Dobbs has ton more football speed that Knight despite being a long strider but his best trait was always being great at being slippery af and breaking off longer runs than Knight and finding an extra gear when it looked like defender's had him. We saw Dobbs even run down fast secondary players from a ways back and outrun them as well (rarely got got by DBs or anyone unless he was trying to make defender ahead of him miss).

But both Knight and Mayfield are fast af (Mayfield on the field in particularly has some of the same slipperiness as Dobbs as his last 40 time wasn't great but who knows Dobbs' 40 improved substantially since his HS 40 but again it was his ability to escape, have football speed, and find an extra gear when others are out of those gears that made him deadly). You can see that by watching both Dobbs and Mayfield that BM has some of the same slipperiness Dobbs does.

tl;dr - lot easier to tackle someone at closer range, especially when dude is drunk af.
