Is it just me or would it be a little strange for them to have an estate auction?

I can see the car and clothes, but trophies and sports memorabilia?

News story on the auction.

All that would be up to her son and it looks like he needs money. It's really stupid though. All of that should have been kept together and put in a museum.

Not like they do not have a museum in Knoxville already for WBB

The bigger issue is the dumbassery of using a local auction company which may keep values low. Generally with well known national and international figures you sell at Southebys or the like where the biggest dollars are. Also odd it does not ID her by name in the advertisement as that should reflect badly on the auction company on keeping values low.

He's renting a house three down from me in my neighborhood southwest of Knox that's on the lake (well across the street from it). So judging by where he is living, he doesn't seem to be that desperate.

He's very secretive though, doesn't come out much. Is his wife a blonde? Cause he's living with a blonde chick and I didn't know if it was the girl he got pregnant or not.

Eh he probably thinks everyone hates for that affair but I doubt anyone in Tennessee cares.

For the affair or just in general? I don't know the dude beyond seeing him around years ago.

Screwing around on his young wife with a girl he was coaching while his mother was on her death bed... yeah he's a POS. AND got her pregnant.

He also walks around with his shirt off in our neighborhood. Seems to scream douche... has no dealings with the community besides that.

Definitely. I'm just trying to see where people are coming from on that since a lot of us know Vols, former Vols, coaches etc. personally and/or had encounters with them in real life. I didn't know if this was a personal experience thing or just what he did to his family thing.

You're not a good person if you do that shite regardless. The fact that his mother was on her death bed makes it even worse.

Back to OP, anybody pick up anything at the auction?

I might have gone and gotten some stuff for some younger Vol fans I know in Nashville.
