Hardest part of the season is over. We are 5-2 with one bad loss, and one we could/should have won.
App S was underwhelming.

Ohio was meh

That VaTech win is looking pretty good now.

Reptiles, could not have been better. I don't know that it would have been any more satisfying if we had beat them from start to finish 50 -0. Stole their soul. Nuff said

Ga probably shouldn't have been close but it gave us a couple things. The Dobbsnail boot and Jennings. That will be played over and over.

I expected to drop 2 of the 4 sec games here. AtM and bama are house money.
AtM is better than many thought but we could have easily, and some say should have won that one.

The bama loss stinks but do I really need to list the injuries? Not to mention the emotional roller coaster these kids have just been through. Bama is who we thought they were. Trash fans, criminals and classless players with a douchebag coach that lets them get away with it. They also have Kiffin. But they win a lot of games.

I'm not at all displeased with our season this far.
Going 10-2 with a trip to Atlanta, stealing the gators souls along the way.

Get people healthy, win out and get a rematch with one of the teams that beat us.

If we get 8 or 10 people healthy how different are we in December?

Win out and get healthy. SEC championship and bowl will determine how I feel about the season. I can't believe our oline was that messed up seemingly out of the blue.

I don't think anyone would be upset with 10-2 and a trip to ATL, the reason we are concerned is what we saw yesterday likely can't win out. Will getting healthy change that? Only time will tell

Thing is, it wasn't really out of the blue. It's been a patch work job since spring with Chance Hall getting injured. Coleman Thomas in game 1 was injured, we just didn't really know it. He's performed better since then. I know we did well against AtM but had some (a bunch really) injuries that game too. They all added up this week IMO.
Win out and get healthy

They are all beat up, bruised and sore.
I really think that we'll get a half dozen starters back soon. If we can keep them back I don't anticipate a loss.

The goal of an SEC crown is still there.

The stretch run looks a bit tougher now.

I am fine where things are now. The worst part is seeing everyone scramble around trying to blame everything on someone or something after that arse kicking on Saturday. Get some guys healthy and we will be fine.

Lose one on this back stretch and then I would be mad. Otherwise this regular season is going (W-L wise) exactly like I hoped it would.

I guess I'm there too. I'm just frustrated with Saturday. That's the worst arse beating I've ever seen us take, or at least it feels that way.

So many people are using all the injuries as an excuse, but I just can't. It is year 4 of CBJ and half the damn starting squad is injured. And it has happened every single year since he's been here.

I at least expected to be competitive for more than 5 minutes. This game was over halfway through the first quarter. Bama made us look like a Dooley coached team again.

2016 was supposed to be the biggest year for us since we last won the national championship and now we are depending on some team to beat a divisional opponent that we have already beaten just so we can reach the championship game for the first time in almost a decade.

Tennessee struggles with the worst teams on its schedule and requires a massive comeback for the ages to win a game that actually matters.

Look bro, I get it. You have to try to rationalize losses that are that bad, but I think it just comes down to them being really good and us being pretty bad with injuries to key positions. It was extremely frustrating watching VOLS get emasculated. I think that's an instance where you just throw the frickng tape away and move on. We dangled our frick out there and it got beat. The game plan wasn't great but it has to be hard to scheme with who we trotted out there.

This team still has a lot to accomplish this year. Win out and everything will be fine.

Here is my single frustration with the season/Butch. It's not the injuries or the losses. It's the scheme and it being so dependent on certain types of players to run it. It's year 4 and we still don't have or don't play to it. When we had Worley he was no threat to run the ball and we still ran the same scheme. Now we have Dobbs and there are games and times where he is clearly told to not run the ball or keep it on the run/pass option.

App State, 1st 3 quarters of OHIO, other times in other games. He is a great runner and we wait to unleash him (fear of injury, too many carries, etc). Also, by not being able to run what is essentially the most effective part of our offense we end up dcking around and don't get any other backups on offense any live game reps. I love Hurd but he isn't the ideal back in this offense either.

If we get to Atlanta and get healed up than I guess Butch's plan worked this year. Then it's 60 minutes for the next 60 years of your lives football.

He is stubborn with his offense. Every hurry up is Hurd to the right/left and the fricking swing passes are maddening. But yeah, this offense WILL NOT work without a running QB or with one you wont run like on Saturday. As I said before, I do think the plays were somewhat limited considering our O line.

As we have seen, this offense is lethal when it is cut loose...it is sometimes baffling why they restrain it so much.

Byrd and Kamara are the only players on roster that should get screens, swing passes, and the los plays. Malone, Jennings, Hurd, and Smith are usually worse than just throwing the ball away. I hate how we never see Malone on a safety or a slot on a linebacker.

I do believe some of the problems are because Dobbs struggles throwing down field so much.

True. Dobbs will never be more than a mediocre passer which is why it is so important to get him running. His passing stats are pretty good when the offense is wide open. Our receivers were not getting separation saturday. Really wish Debord would have tried to push the ball downfield a little more...seems like they just gave up after they saw the officials were going to let them play. Still could have thrown back shoulders and go routes on a 3 step.

Receivers have been getting mugged the last two games. You can bet if that was Martin out there he would have gotten twenty flags.
