Who's ready to play a neutral site game? Alternate venues are already being scouted.

Where are the most likely neutral sites?

Nashville and ATL would seemingly be the only two big enough to accommodate this matchup. Thank god Bama Dave has fricked off or we'd be playing in Neyland and then traveling to the swamp the next two seasons

If it does end up at a neutral site, I may be there depending on location. A Shark blow up will be purchased.

How's everyone feeling heading into game week?

Callaway & Scarlett are still out as of right now iirc. We beat them with or without those guys tho imho. Our offense surprises some people and puts up more points than expected and defense plays good enough to get the W. Head into the UGA game at 4-0. Larry Scott has impressed me so far with his play calling and The Dormady/Kelly/Callaway trio are more talented than any of the offensive play makers on the other side of the field.

An L against this UF team would be a major disappointment in my eyes. Don't frick it up Butch.

We can't run as soft a defense as we have been. Dormady needs a decent game. We should be able to run the ball on them. Our WRs can make plays against their secondary and it won't require Dormady to be dropping dimes.

Concerned and surprised Florida opened as an 8.5 point favorite. Florida's shitty QBs looking all conference against Tennessee is about as Tennessee as it can get. This game will determine if I jump on the fire Bob Shoop now bandwagon. Holding out hope that we will see a different looking defense.

The defense definitely has to step up. Luckily this Florida offense is really bad and I don't think that's going to change over night. Tuttle being back and getting reps against Indiana St couldn't have come at a better time. I thought he looked good while he was in. If i'm the coaches I'm thinking long and hard about replacing Kongbo with Phillips at starting DE opposite of D. Taylor. I'm also getting Bituli on the field at MLB over Jumper for large parts of this game if possible.

The line is a little perplexing. It's down to +5.5 right now and dropping though fwiw. Shoop needs to put together a nice game in a bad way. Despite the hype they're getting on defense (which is not as good as it was last season) I don't think they have enough to hold us enough offensively. Dormady is a much better QB than what they've got atm and I think he does enough to grab the W.

FWIW, I think it's an advantage for us if this game does get moved to a neutral site (ATL). Not having to play in the 90+ degree weather in the swamp as well as being able to bring a sizable crowd with us to negate the home field advantage would be big.

I think if the o line improves a little bit (looked better against ISU but of course, that was ISU) and Damnady can have a really good game we will beat Florida

I think the D will be fine against them but Damnady is really gonna have to step up

I've got a bad feeling we will be throwing way too much and Dormady is going to lay a giant turd

Some interesting numbers from SECMike on UT and the +5.5 pts:

Butch Jones 0-3 ATS last season as road favorite. Has covered every time as road dog last 2 seasons; undefeated at UT in neutral site games LINK

Exactly though he got better as it went on
During and after the GT game I was dubious of posters acting like he would be some kind of Munoz-esque messiah for the oline and I was proven correct

We can only hope it was just rust and he will be more in tune after getting a game under his belt

Interesting numbers but awfully small sample size on the neutral site item

Surprisingly he's 6-0 at neutral site games since taking over with the win over GT.

Hubbs relaying what Shoop had to say about Bituli going forward:

quote:

called him their most productive player. Said yesterday wasxtheir best practice and that bituli is workig Sam in the 4-3 and in the middle in the 4-2-5.

Strange, I was hoping all offseason we would run more 4-3. Now I find myself wanting to play 4-2-5 exclusively.
